Christmas to me means taking time out with my family to enjoy each others company and to be happy and grateful for our health and what we have.

Hopefully it is a time we can forget about any issues or troubles we are experiencing and focus on the positives and what we can do, rather than what we can't do.

ARE YOUR POSTS UNIQUE ENOUGH TO STAND OUT ?

Layouts are important when you push something out on social media to get noticed, that's why you do it right ? to get noticed.

Whether you are a brand, business, service or an individual, your aim is to get your message across and design is the medium in which your message can be relayed.

Many talk about your feed layout or your grid layout with many different options or aesthetics but each post is a standalone, pushed out there, on its own to fend for itself and get your message across.

Take time to think about each layout and how it can impact.

if in doubt get the basics right and then work from there.

But that's a whole other post.

Sundays are great for relaxing and reflecting with a bit of work thrown in.

Relax and reflect on your week whether good or bad, if bad, don't beat yourself up too much and just see what you have learned from it and what you can do to improve going forward.

DON'T BE IN A RUSH TO POST A MEDIOCRE DESIGN

Don’t rush design. Trust the process.

Incredible progress in technology, especially over the last 5/6 years has changed what we can do and how fast we can do it.

We are now so used to instant results and gratification that we have lost patience and trust in the process.

Everyone wants to release that product, form that start up, get it done, get it online as quick as possible and we believe that the quality of the idea outweighs the need for an extensive process.

And good design is very much a process…which takes time and effort to get it right,

Don't neglect it or rush it.

Users are more knowledgeable than ever and they expect excellence.

Good design is never truly finished, test it, tweak it and when you think you are happy with it, look at it again and take the time to consider what message you want to convey and how is it being conveyed.

Remove as much as possible leaving the core message in its simplest form.
