Does inviting fewer guests reduce your Mallorca wedding budget in the same proportion?
Usually, no.
Some costs increase with every guest: food, drinks, place settings and transport. Others - such as the venue, photographer, planner, music and ceremony - often remain similar.
Then there are threshold costs that can appear suddenly: another coach, an additional bar, more staff or a larger indoor Plan B.
In our new guide, we explain:
why a wedding for 40 guests rarely costs half as much as one for 80;
what happens when a guest list grows from 70 to 85 people;
how multi-day celebrations multiply guest-related costs;
how guest count influences your choice of venue.

Fifteen extra guests do not only mean fifteen more dinners.
They can mean another coach, more staff, an extra bar, additional furniture and a larger indoor Plan B.
In this short film, Magdalena explains why guest count changes far more than catering. She also shows why a smaller wedding is not always proportionally cheaper.
Our practical guide to fixed, variable and threshold wedding costs will be on the Dybiec Wedding blog very soon.

Part 5 of 5 — Present in the background
Angle: theatre metaphor, presence not invisibility, most emotional post
A wedding is a little like theatre. Guests see the finished performance. The ceremony begins at the right moment. The music changes. The doors open. Dinner appears. The candles are lit. The first dance begins.
What they do not see is the quiet work carrying it. The supplier arriving through the service entrance. The timeline gently adjusted because something ran ten minutes late. The florist, the catering team, Jimy and the venue being coordinated in the background.
This is the heart of good wedding planning. The steadier the work behind the scenes, the more freely you and your guests can simply be present in the moment.
A day like that can feel calm and complete. But calm is rarely accidental. Behind it sit preparation, communication, timing and hundreds of small decisions handled so they never become your problem.
This is the whole point of the series. You should be present at your own wedding, not managing it. If that is the day you want, begin a private conversation with Magdalena: https://dybiecwedding.uk/meet-magdalena/
When you picture your wedding, what is the one moment you most want to be fully present for?

10/09/2026

Your wedding should not feel like a project you are managing from morning until night.
You should not be checking messages, chasing suppliers or wondering what still needs to happen.
That work should already be under control.
Good wedding planning gives you the freedom to be present with your partner, your family and your guests.
To notice the small moments.
To enjoy Mallorca.
To actually experience the day you spent months planning.
You enjoy the wedding.
We take care of the rest.

Everyone tells you Mallorca has 300 days of sunshine. Almost nobody tells you what April really feels like compared to June, or why September might suit your guests better than August.
Your wedding month is not only a weather choice. It shapes your sunset time, your evening timeline, your budget and how comfortable your guests will be during the ceremony.
We have written an honest month-by-month guide to getting married in Mallorca. The real trade-offs, not the brochure version.

Kim & Martinique travelled from Germany to Mallorca to celebrate their wedding at Villa Valens.
It was a day full of relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere, emotion and great energy.
The aperitif featured a charming b**r car and live saxophone, followed by great music, laughter and a celebration that continued in exactly the way they had imagined.
What made this wedding special was not only the setting, but how natural and personal the whole day felt.
Congratulations Kim & Martinique. It was a pleasure to be part of your wedding in Mallorca.

Everyone asks for a summer wedding in Mallorca. July, August, the warmest months. But that is often not what I would choose for them.
In this short film I explain why. August heat can reach thirty one degrees, and a midday ceremony in full sun is something guests endure rather than enjoy. The shoulder months, May, June and especially September, give you the warmth without the intensity.
August is not wrong. It simply needs to be planned around the heat, not against it.
I have written an honest month-by-month guide to help you choose your date
Would you choose peak summer, or a calmer shoulder month?

A wedding planner’s work is not only about venues, suppliers and timelines.
It is also about being prepared for the small things nobody planned for.
For every wedding, Magdalena brings a bridal emergency kit with practical essentials for the couple and their guests.
Most of these things may never be needed.
But when something unexpected happens, knowing that someone has already thought about it makes a difference.
That is part of our job.
To keep the details under control, so the couple and their families can simply enjoy the day.

Part 4 of 5 — The mental load
Angle: on your wedding day you are not the project manager
A destination wedding is built from hundreds of tiny decisions. Who is vegetarian. Who needs a child seat. Where is Grandma staying. Which guests need airport transfers. Who is giving a speech. Which seating plan is final. Where are the rings.
Alone, none of these is hard. Together, they become the mental load of a wedding. And it is one of the most underestimated reasons couples reach for a planner.
Our job is not only the visible parts. It is to take the details out of your head, record them, connect them and make sure they appear at the right moment.
Because on the wedding day, you should not be the project manager. You should be getting married.
If you would like to understand how that weight can be lifted for your day, begin a private conversation with Magdalena: https://dybiecwedding.uk/meet-magdalena/
What is the one detail that keeps circling in your head at night when you think about your wedding?

Every wedding planner lists the same services. Venue sourcing, supplier booking, day of coordination. Almost nobody tells you what happens after you sign, or what really happens when something goes wrong three weeks before the wedding.

We wrote an honest answer to a question couples rarely ask out loud. What does a wedding planner in Mallorca actually do, once the contract is signed and the pretty part is over?
