The last (but definitely not least) of our values at Wunderman Thompson Finland is that we are genuinely interested in how others see the world. We take time to reflect on what's been said by our coworkers and clients and always listen to each other, even when we are facing obstacles – conversations are the key to getting through challenges together as a team and coming out the other side with new creative ideas.

Drum roll please… We have some new people! These two joined our international team this past month. Welcome to the team Joël and Stuart!

Joël from Germany is our new Designer, who has a burning passion for editorial and brand design. Joël gives his all to every project and adheres to the best German values such as functionality. To deliver the most valuable outcome for a project he focuses on listening and understanding the clients needs. In his free time, Joël enjoys the noble art of photography, capturing moments and people on film. At WTF he is driven by his team and coworkers, who in his words make the workplace a fun place to be – and we couldn’t agree more!

Stuart Barnes started with us last week as our new Strategy Director. He helps organisations develop more valuable relationships with people. Stuart is driven by a curiosity to understand other people’s experience; a determination to make things better and an enjoyment of being constantly surprised. Stuart is a man of many talents: in his spare time he’s a painter, play-acts with his son and enjoys running or skiing – depending on the season of course. We at WTF are happy to have you!

Today is World Mental Health Day. According to many studies pets have a positive impact on our mental health. Caring for a dog, cat, or other animal can help relieve depression and anxiety and lower stress: Just playing with a dog has been shown to raise levels of oxytocin and dopamine in your brain. Here are some of our co-workers furry friends. 🐶✨

New Our people post alert! We are super lucky to have these pros as a part of our growing team. 💪🏻

Liisa Duerig is our new Tech Lead. She is specialised in Drupal, Angular, and design systems. This part Swiss, part Finn, born in the USA tech-genius gets a rush from improving solutions in ways no one else has considered - and makes people smile on the side. Liisa loves working as a developer in tandem with designers (for a fabulous end-user experience), and thrives in multicultural teams. In her free time she works on her old boat and takes care of her pets – giant African land snails!

Tuija Pispa joined us as our new Webmaster. She loves connecting with people through her work and providing the best possible experiences for them. She is fascinated by new systems and how to use them to their full potential. At home Tuija has an adorable dachshund named Zig-1 Stilleben Stardust – aka Zigi for short.

Next up is our Account Manager Maria Holm, who just returned from parental leave. Maria is curious about what drives corporate cultures alongside change management and her everyday focus is on enabling creative collaboration for her team. She wants to expand her perspective through others and is inspired by the fact that creativity comes in many shapes and forms. Maria loves travelling and enjoys comedy of all sorts.
