One of our clients, the Swedish book publisher Trinambai, has just launched its new book, I Djiddos Trädgård Växer Allt 🌱 (in Swedish), a beautiful children's book about the story of a Palestinian girl and her grandfather.

As with every book they publish, they sent it to our small photography studio on the island of Korpo by mail so that we could take product pictures with their signature blue background. You can find those images below.

"A Child's Dream" is the latest timelapse by our CEO, Aarón Blanco Tejedor (Aarón Blanco Photography), with music by Edison Clauss for Music Sesame. It was captured on October 28th, 2025, on the island of Wattkast (Korpo), where he lives. 💚

Capturing a timelapse of a night event like the Northern Lights demands passion, stubbornness, skill, and the patience to stay awake late into the night for hours on end. It’s not always easy to know when the Northern Lights will illuminate the sky, requiring close monitoring of what is called "space weather," as well as the weather conditions here on the surface. You must be ready when the conditions are just right!

A time-lapse involves capturing hundreds or thousands of images in continuous succession, each lasting several seconds. These images are then combined into a video using a professional video editing app. After all, what is a film but a quick succession of still frames, usually played back at around 24 frames per second?

Long hours under the night sky, surrounded by cold and stillness—sometimes wind—with a Trangia boiling water to keep me warm. The reward? Plenty of time to observe the stars and learn about the night sky, and, if the forecasts are correct, a breathtaking vision that often borders on the mystical.

The final video still involves many hours of work, from importing thousands of images to editing the video, colour correcting it, finding the right music and exporting files that, when at full resolution, take up significant space on my office's hard drives.

However, the beauty of the final product is a testament to the hard work that went into it, and I am extremely proud of this creation, which I have named "A Child's Dream". Let me know what you think.

This project makes me so happy! Just when I was starting to feel ready ready to step up and start offering professional videography services, DoubleTrouble Family Band and offered me a gig that involved taking pictures and full video coverage of a live show of them 🤩

I asked Lotta Tamminen to come with me and take care of the pictures, and I was so happy when she said she would come to the gig because I knew she was the right person for the job 👍 Do you think she using Fujifilm cameras like me has anything to do with it? Yes, that and an AMAZING talent! 🤗

That arrangement made me fully focused on the video side, and finally the main final products of been released: two showreels!

Nu är den här! Trumvirvel..... ta daa!!! KORPO BLOGGEN! 🤩🥳😃

Vi har länge tänkt att det skulle vara bra om Korpo hade en egen blogg där vi kunde publicera artiklar, intervjuer och berättelser om livet i Korpo. Lite som ett digitalt Korpo Blad, men i ett annat format, som också kan nå utanför Korpos gränser. Och nu har bloggen blivit verklighet! Tack vare ett gott samarbete med Pro Korpo och Visit Korpo.

Vi har valt att kategorisera inläggen ur tre perspektiv;

🔹 Livet i Korpo, där man kan läsa om hur det är att bo på en skärgårdsö anno 2025.

🔹Visit Korpo, som fokuserar på besöksnäringen och vad man som besökare kan njuta av i Korpo, och

🔹 Livskraft i Korpo, som fokuserar på livskraften och företags- och föreningslivet på ön.

Tanken är att bloggen ska representera oss alla. Från barn och ungdomar till pensionärer och allt där emellan. Vi som bor här året runt eller en del av året, alla ska få synas och höras i bloggen.

Vi hoppas förstås också att bloggen ska bidra till att sprida information om att Korpo är en bra boplats året runt. Vi är ett livskraftigt samhälle och vi har all service som behövs för att göra livet bekvämt. Allt från dagis och skola (i toppklass!), sjukvård, friskvård, äldrevård, en förträfflig livsmedelsbutik, en unik och ytterst välsorterad järn- och allhandel, många fina restauranger, apotek, och många lokala företagare som sätter guldkant på vardagen. Helt enkelt allt som behövs för ett gott liv.

Låt oss tillsammans sprida information om Korpo! 🥰
