🚀 When developing new biomaterials, the question is: "What do users actually need?"

That's why we're asking for your feedback.

We've put together a short carousel introducing the biomaterials we're currently evaluating for our portfolio, from flexible polymers for skin-contact applications to high-performance materials for more demanding medical uses.

If you work in medical devices, additive manufacturing, or biomaterials, we'd love to hear which materials would bring the most value to your projects.

A successful prototype is only the beginning.

The real challenge starts when you need to manufacture the same part reliably, repeatedly, and in compliance with medical regulations.

How do you move from prototype to industrial production?

In our latest article, you'll discover:

✔️ Why industrialization is more than simply producing more parts.
✔️ How the TRL framework structures medical device development.
✔️ Why pilot production is a key milestone before scaling up.
✔️ How 3D printing supports the entire journey: from prototype to industrial manufacturing.

What is a 3D printing filament, and why does it matter?

In FDM 3D printing, the filament is much more than a raw material. It directly impacts the mechanical properties, biocompatibility and performance of the final part, making material selection a key step in every project.

📖 Read our latest article to learn more about 3D printing filaments and how to choose the right material for medical, research and industrial applications : https://lattice-services.com/en/focus-on-3d-printing-3d-filaments/

At LATTICE SERVICES, we manufacture a range of medical-grade polymer filaments for implantable, skin-contact and research applications, with full control over quality and traceability throughout the production process.

Most products don’t fail in production. They fail at the first prototype.

In fact, around 70% of product cost is locked in during the design phase.

That’s why prototyping is such a critical step in product development, especially in healthcare and engineering.

3D printing makes this stage faster, simpler, and more accessible:

🔹 rapid iteration cycles (5–10 design iterations are common before final validation)
🔹 up to 50–90% faster prototyping compared to traditional methods
🔹 lower development costs
🔹 faster idea validation
🔹 better final designs

We wrote a short article on why 3D printing is ideal for prototyping here:

We are proud to highlight that our team will be present at VivaTech 2026 on June 17 and 18, alongside the Métropole Européenne de Lille, whom we warmly thank for their invitation and continued support of innovation across the region 🚀

As VivaTech celebrates its 10th anniversary, we are honored to be part of the selected companies representing the Lille metropolitan innovation ecosystem, among other outstanding startups from the territory.

We will be exhibiting at booth 2-G10 (Hall 7 – Level 2), together with the MEL and Hauts-de-France Region teams.

Come and meet our team to discover Lattice Medical's innovations:
🔹 MATTISSE, a resorbable implant for autologous breast reconstruction using 3D printing
🔹 RODIN, a medical device designed for the reconstruction of large subcutaneous tissue defects

We will be happy to meet you, discuss our work, and answer any questions!

A big thank you to the MEL, VivaTech, and all partners involved in supporting innovation in the region.

See you in Paris on June 17–18 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles!

The Lattice Services team is back in France after a fast-paced and productive US road trip! No fluff, just great meetings, concrete projects, and getting things done.

📍 New York City | Columbia University

We had the privilege of visiting the Carroll Laboratories for Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University in NY. A massive thank you to Nadeen Chahine, Clark, Elyse Fleck, Lara Aklouk, and Maho K. for the incredibly warm welcome and the tour of your outstanding lab facilities.
This visit marked the official kick-off of an exciting project. The Columbia team has done the heavy lifting on the R&D and development side, and Lattice Services is now stepping in to handle the industrialization.
Seeing years of research getting ready for the manufacturing stage is a fantastic feeling. We are incredibly proud to have the trust of such prestigious partners to bring this to life.

📍 Boston | RAPID + TCT

We also headed to Boston for RAPID + TCT. It’s always a great opportunity to take the pulse of the global additive manufacturing ecosystem.
Great to catch up face-to-face with some suppliers and to cross paths with so many players driving the industry forward. Also a special thanks to 3devo for highlithing some of our work!
A special shoutout to the Academic Row section! Since Lattice Services works a lot with universities, it was a real highlight to chat with the academic minds.

The final verdict? Beyond the successful meetings and handshakes, we took the time to verify a very important local fact: Boston lobster rolls are, indeed, an absolute 10/10. 🦞
