I finally finished knitting my Iceland inspired jumper (lopapeysa).
Made with Alpaca wool as the traditional icelandic sheep's wool is too itchy for me. I love it.
Thanks for the free pattern and video help.

I find that most of my clients have QLs (Quadratus Lumborum) that need some work.

Doing this stretch above or a simple side bend with your knees bent a little away from the wall and your back and shoulders flat against the wall will help.

Last weekend Amelie and her dance group went to leatherhead to a .
They did amazingly well and won two categories and came 2nd in the other. All 3 dances achieved enough points to be invited to the finals next year. 🏆🏆🏆🏆
We are so proud 😊

Day 4 in Iceland

Last night in our Höfn Guesthouse, we had just finished dinner at 8pm and a Dutch couple came through the dining room and out on to the balcony. They shouted "the aurora is outside". Off we went to find the darkest place we could find to watch. It danced for more than an hour and was so clear. Our best one yet. So lucky ❤️

Stokknes, Viking Village and Vestrahorn mountain -

We set off on our walk to get the best view if the mountain and the clouds came in! By the time we reached the Viking Village, built for a film, (used in the Witcher) the clouds had disappeared and we had our photo.

Red Chair-
We then went to look for the red chair, that is seen on my map. Alas, all that was left was just a red chair leg!! So we took some sunny photos, (which I can't find!) And then left.

989 Oxi Road -
We decided to take the short cut to Egilstaddir where we were staying at theTehúsid hostel. A risk as the road was a gravel track and as we were heading east, we were heading towards the snow. The road was fine and actually quite exciting, moving into another completely different terrain and scenery.

Day 2 in Iceland

Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach at sunrise.
- Beautiful black sand and small stone beach, with waves rolling in and stunning basalt columns

Fjaorargljufur Canyon
- amazing shapes in the rocks carved out by the water and beautiful colours.

Tasty Pizza and soup for lunch for Amelie's birthday at the Systrakaffi.

Svartifoss Waterfall
- this waterfall was apparently the inspiration for Hallgrimskirkja, the famous church in Reykjavik.

Then a well earned Hotel for the night. I'd asked them if they would put a little suprise in Amelie's room for her 16th Birthday. Which they did, so lovely.
We got very excited when they asked us if we would like an aurora call.
They said they checked outside every 20 minutes to see if the aurora was outside and if it was they would call us. Of course we said yes please and went and got all our clothes ready for a potential middle of the night call!!

We went to Iceland!
Ha! Ha! Not the shop, just kidding!
On October 26th we flew to Reykjavik in Iceland. We had a really early flight, which meant we would have a full day at the start of our full 9 day ring road tour around Iceland.
Day 1
- shopping at Bonus
- Seljandsfoss Waterfall, that we could walk behind. We got very wet.
- Gljufrabui Waterfall, which required some rock hopping in an enclosed stream passage to get to.
- Skogafoss Waterfall, a 🌈 at the bottom and beautiful view from the top.
- Dhyhalaey, black sand beach and light house at sunset.
The kids were in charge of photos with the camera and tripod. They did a great job.
Staying at a guesthouse in Vik for the night.
