Happy Pride Month! 🌈
We wanted to take a minute to talk about 'rainbow-washing'.
Your social media feeds are probably inundated with rainbow logos, pride promotions and all sorts at the moment, right?
It seems that now, many brands latch onto social and environmental causes as their new marketing strategy, showcasing an extremely unethical approach to marketing and social media.
Not only is it unethical marketing, these brands often support practices, businesses, and people that are in direct conflict with their messaging.
Take, for example, clothing brands releasing Pride merchandise, but contracting their labor in countries that persecute members of the LGBTQ+ community.
