Our brain creates a model according to which something exists in our mind but it doesn’t exist in the real world. A great exemple in this sense comes from a recent computer vision research under the name of the parable of the six blind men [Leordeanu, (2020), p. 35]. It states that even if in the real world everyone of the six blind men touches an elephant, each one of them sees the elephant in his mind completley different. The interpretation of the author is that just their combined perceptions could indicate the presence of the elephant, which highlights a stong need of a coocurence between the six blind mens’ perceptions.
