I’m not gonna lie, I’m very happy to be nearing the end of April. It’s usually my favourite month (I’m an Aries queen and turned 36 on the 2nd).

i understood why people decide to go offline forever when life hits like that.

because it would be easier.

easier to shut down
easier to soften
easier to become smaller so nothing else can reach you
but that’s not what happens to women like me.

and it’s not what happens to women like you.

because TITANS aren’t built when things are calm.
they’re built in the moments where everything feels like it’s falling apart👇

I’m not going to go with it.

i’ve been knocked off my feet (literally)

Flexible schedules.

That was never the plan for me.

Long before I was ever pregnant, I was already designing a business my children could inherit.

Not just something that paid me.
Something that could outlive me.

A company my children could one day step into if they wanted.

And if they didn’t?

A business powerful enough to provide for them anyway.

Because some founders are building income.

And some founders are building legacy.

Those are two completely different games.

And the women building legacy?

The showgirl.

I watched that Timothée Chalamet interview with Matthew McConaughey recently.

The one where he dismissed opera and ballet as outdated.

And honestly… it was a dick move.

Not because those art forms need defending.

But because it revealed something interesting about how spectacle, especially spectacle associated with women…still gets trivialised.

Opera.
Ballet.
Cabaret.
The stage.

These aren’t frivolous pursuits in history.
Believe me, as a former opera singer, I know first hand the level of commitment and dedication it takes.

These art forms were architectures of attention.

And attention has always been economic power.

Long before Instagram.
Long before “personal branding.”

People understood something simple:
Control the gaze, control the room.

Royal courts staged authority.
Parisian theatres staged desire.
Cabarets staged myth.

The room was never neutral.
Lighting was deliberate.
Entrances were choreographed.

The audience’s gaze was directed with precision.

And at the center of it all?
The showgirl.

Not the most qualified person in the room.
Not the most credentialed.
But the focal point.

I want to talk about absorbing words that are aimed to destroy you…

I’ve had a lot of that the past year.

Some from unexpected sources, others not so much.

And I’ve absorbed it all like a sponge.

And it’s important that you don’t.

It doesn’t make you the bigger person, more professional, more loveable, more likeable.

It’s setting a precedent for future bullsh*t if I’m totally honest.

You deserve to be respected without having to prove anything, to be loved unconditionally, to take up space.

Doesn’t mean the hits don’t hurt. 🎯

It doesn’t make you more loveable, more likeable, or more respected.

Love yourself more than the venom and vitriol thrown at you by people determined to see you as the villain.
