Today officially marks the day that, 20 years after its creation, MAISON CLOSE becomes SCANDALE.
SCANDALE
This evolution marks the culmination of a major strategic milestone initiated by the acquisition of SCANDALE; an iconic French house founded in 1932. Through this move, Maison Close brings together a century of French heritage and twenty years of contemporary development under a single name.
In becoming SCANDALE, Maison Close will take on the role of guardian of this heritage with the ambition of defining a novel, contemporary and international chapter for the brand. More than a name change, this evolution brings together two complementary stories: the creative boldness developed over twenty years by Maison Close and the exceptional heritage of SCANDALE.
This new chapter will notably be marked by the opening of the first permanent SCANDALE Paris flagship on Rue Cambon in September 2026, the first physical expression of this new ambition.
As part of this transition, the final creations signed by Maison Close will continue to be offered as collector’s pieces, bearing witness to the brand’s first twenty years, ahead of the full rollout of SCANDALE.
