Join me as I head out on the trail in search of the Ibizan Yeti Man — a mysterious cave-dwelling creature said to roam these mountains.
Some believe it’s simply local folklore. Others claim it’s something far stranger… perhaps even transdimensional.
Legend has it the creature only reveals itself to those open enough to see it. Living off bark, roots and whatever it can forage from the surrounding landscape, it is said to possess unusual abilities, including telepathy and healing.
Unfortunately, the Ibizan Yeti Man has often been mistaken for something far more sinister, giving the creature an unfair reputation over the years.
After several hours of tracking, I finally caught sight of one. It quickly noticed me trying to film it and seemed wary of my presence.
As I cautiously approached, however, I realised it was far more curious than threatening. It grunted, pointed repeatedly at the shiny object in my hand and appeared fascinated by it.
When I eventually handed over my phone, it seemed to relax completely. In fact, it looked every bit as nervous as I was.
Together we continued our journey to the top of the mountain, where we stood overlooking the Mediterranean below.
For a brief moment, it felt as though an unlikely friendship had formed.
Then, without warning, I turned around just in time to see the creature perform a perfect backflip off the edge of the cliff and disappear into the sea.
I never saw the Ibizan Yeti Man again
