Sharing this one. I wouldn't usually share a rant but i see some friends who are full-time artist being impacted by AI.

With my real job being in IT, I am not adverse to AI being used as a tool for some things, but the volume of AI artwork out there is mind blowing.

I think, as an Artist (of sorts...I'm no Van Gogh) that the AI generated stuff is a little boring. Frankly it all looks the same, using same colour palette, same styles, same ex*****on...with zero individuality. I was recently in Edinburgh and was amazed at the AI generated tourist stuff....where you walk into a shop and are met by a wall of Highland Cows that all look the same strewn across so many goods from mugs to aprons.

It will be hard for any artist to compete with free, which is the current AI model....but that won't last, as there's no profit in free for the big corporations.

Anyway, for those that have supported me i can only say thankyou, your have funded an individuals, got me a beer or two or a new scooter/bike part. When you support real artist you are supporting individuals and families, with AI you are supporting the big faceless corporations.

I think it is time for another revolution....back to basics, a bit like the Arts & Crafts movement, which rose in the late 1800's through the 1920's as a stand against mass industrialisation, where people went back to craftsmen and women for goods vs the big mass producing companies. Lets get back to local!

Still some time left to get into my raffle which I am using to support Men's Health Charities via the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with my scooter buddies.

My initial goal was to get as many £2 donations as possible through my facebooks friends and followers....times are tough, so though £2 would be manageable and anything done in volume makes a difference :D

Anyways. All donations welcome....thanks to those who have supported me already!😁

RAFFLE - Potential Doodle Up for grabs.

Hey Geeza fans. I would normally keep this to my own personal page, however I am a big fan of supporting Mental Health and again this year I am doing the Distinguished Gentleman's RIde which raises money for Men's and Mental Health Charities.

Last year I had a £100 goal, which was smashed due to many wonderful people and this year I have set a team goal of £250, doing it with some of the crew from the Unwanted Scooter Club. Yes we are taking scooters to a bike event...we are hard as nails.

I am trying to get as many £2 donations as possible (times are tight for us all, and £2 is just bar of chocolate these days, maybe even a Fredo!) and in return I am going to raffle a Dolla Doodle (subject of your choice) as way of a thanks.

So if you want in, use the link below...throw a couple of quid and your name goes in the list and I'll raffle on-line after the event.

Thanks in advance....peace āœŒšŸ»and love ā¤ļø to you all.

Support Stovie Maguire's fundraising campaign. They've raised $0 so far!

Been a busy couple of weeks….with life, the day job and a house leak.

Still managed to squeeze in my annual volunteer stint at the Edinburgh Sci-Fi Con, which supports CHAS.

A top couple of days where I got to meet Kermit the Frog, get my Star Wars geek fill and spent two days with Murray McArthur ( Game of Thrones, How to train your dragon and much more). He was a top bloke…his stories were great and I loved watching him engage with his fans…all that a squeezed a wee doodle in after we had a conversation on Star Wars (and how much attention Star Wars actors get 🤣)

Been a busy old week, mainly with the day job and a house leak. But did manage to get my annual volunteer stint in with CHAS at the SCi-Fi Con in Edinburgh.

Cannot grumble as met Kermit the Frog, got my Star Wars geek fill and got to spent a couple of days with Murray McArthur (Game of Thrones and How to Train Your Dragon among many other films), top bloke and he was brilliant with the fans…I did even manage fit in a wee doodle of him after we had a chat about Star Wars.

Just another we thing done…again I have to thank everyone who supports me (and other real artists) especially in a time of AI.

I am a fan of real artists myself, always like to find a new artist that I love and support

Seeing a few artist friends, especially those in the caricature business comment on the recent AI caricature trend…and I feel their anger and understand the statements.

I by no means see myself as a caricaturist, not my thing (wish I could at times) but I like to do what I do. For me it’s about the process, the background effort, the prep and then the ex*****on.

Yes AI can spin up some free and quickly, but we should remember AI can’t do anything in its own it just regurgitates other artists work that it has digested (stolen), it can give you a print, but it cannot give you an individually created hand crafted piece of work. Something with thought behind it. I have seen lots of AI creations everywhere, and I will say that AI generated stuff does look AI generated, it all looks the same an has AI generated look, something I immediately avoid.

Anyhow. For those that have supported me in the past I will say a big thankyou, your support has certainly got me a beer or two…paid for more art equipment and maybe some bike or scooter spares. 🤣🤣🤣

I would hope that there are people out there who will continue to support real artists even in the face of AI freebies.

Peace and love everyone!
