Let me introduce myself.
Hi, I’m Sarah — the face behind Custom Threads.
🏡I live in a small village in Cumbria with my husband Dan, our three children (Jacob, Jessica and Matthew) and our two spaniels, Fern and Red. Life is busy, noisy and full of creativity — just how I like it!
📚✏️I work locally as a Teaching Assistant and Dinner Lady at our village primary school, where I also do an after-school Arts & Crafts club once a week. Creativity has always been a big part of who I am. In a previous life I worked as a holistic therapist, beautician and nail technician — and although I do miss doing nails, my creativity now comes out through threads and fabrics instead.
🪡🧵 I started Custom Threads five years ago making handmade hair accessories. Over time, that small hobby grew into something much bigger. Today, I offer embroidery services, printed garments, custom workwear, accessories and personalised gifts for individuals, schools and businesses. My hair accessory range has recently had its own rebrand and is now known as Scrunched Up - Custom Threads Studio UK
