☕ The next LCB Business Breakfast is booked — and this one is going to be a good one.

Our speaker is Jaymini Pankhania, founder of MiniBrickChic CIC, a Leicestershire-based community initiative using the power of LEGO play to build confidence, communication and connection.

What started as a personal passion for LEGO in August 2025 became something much bigger. Jaymini discovered that bricks could do more than build things — they could open conversations, break down barriers and bring together people who might otherwise never meet. By April 2026 that idea had become MiniBrickChic CIC, and it has been growing ever since, with community events, children's sessions, adult experiences and features on ITV Central and Radio2Funky.

Her approach is simple. Put a bucket of bricks on a table. No pressure to be the best builder. No right or wrong way to take part. Just people connecting.

We have a feeling this one is going to spark some great conversations.

Say hello to Harvey! 👋

We have a new face in the office — Harvey has joined us for work experience as part of his journey after recently graduating with a degree in Computer Science.

Harvey has been passionate about computer science since his GCSEs and has studied it every year through to university, so he knows his stuff. He is here to get hands-on experience in software development, learning the ropes of coding and getting stuck into Duda, our specialist website building platform.

We love having fresh energy in the team and Harvey has hit the ground running. We are really glad to have him and we are looking forward to seeing what he builds. 🧡

Mel Parker was our speaker this month and she was fantastic — talking about the power of the human voice in brand storytelling in a way that had everyone genuinely listening.

Last week our very own Millie took the hot seat at Cognates Online Networking online networking and delivered a social media session that went down a treat. 🧡

Millie is our graphic designer and social media manager and she spent the session cutting through the noise around social media for small businesses — no fluff, no "you need to go viral" chat, just practical advice that actually makes sense for local businesses.

Here are a few of the things she shared on the day:

📱 You don't need thousands of followers. You need 40–100 people who trust you and live near you. That's the pile that pays your bills.

📸 A slightly blurry photo of real work beats a perfect graphic you never get round to making. Consistent and boring beats perfect and abandoned. Every single time.

📊 73% of people use social media to find a local business. 58% found a new business on socials in the first place. You don't need to be on every app — you need to exist on the one they check.

💬 Count DMs, clicks and comments. Not likes and followers.

⏰ One post a week is 52 chances a year to get in front of the right person. One post a year is one chance.

The questions kept coming after the session wrapped up and Millie stayed on to answer every one of them — that's just what she does.

We are absolutely obsessed with this. 🧡

Our colleague Abi, who is based in India, has a incredibly talented friend called Lakhera who painted this stunning piece as a gift for Ange. Ange stayed with Abi on her travels and the friendship that came from it led to this landing on our wall — now framed and looking absolutely gorgeous.

The detail in it is just something else. Three cheetahs, sweeping golden trees and that beautiful blue sky. We could stare at it all day.

It's a little reminder that the connections you make along the way can turn into the most unexpected and special things. This team really does have the best people around it. 🌍
