Plaza de España, Seville — one of those places that somehow looks even better in real life.

Built for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, it’s a spectacular sweep of bridges, canals, fountains and colourful ceramic tiles — and yes, you can even hire a little rowing boat and see it from the water. 🛶

Go early, wander beneath the arches, look out for the tiled alcoves representing Spain’s provinces and then just sit for a while and take it all in.

An absolute MUST when visiting Seville. Save this one for your Andalucía itinerary. ❤️

Seville is a city that makes you look up, look down and stop at almost every corner.Sun-washed ochres, faded pinks and terracottas, intricate ceramic tiles, wrought-iron balconies, huge wooden doors and flashes of green from orange trees and hidden courtyards. Even the most ordinary streets feel beautifully considered layers of colour, pattern and history everywhere you look. Sometimes the best way to experience a city is simply to wander. ☀️🍊
