Here’s one I finished the other day for a good friend. She has now been gifted the quilt so I can now post. We both have a love of second hand shops so all the backing fabrics are from shirts. The crochet doilies are an unusual collection, some are from her grandmother that she had given to me but I felt guilty as think they should be preserved and passed on to her daughter, some I made and then couldn’t find a use for, some are from charity shops. She was totally amazed as she didn’t know that I was making this for her. It was quite a challenge for me to make all the pieces fit and I had to create several fill in sections. All the buttons were saved from disused garments and added to give additional dimension. I learnt a lot and it’s by no means perfect but made with love.
