Hope you're all well..it's been a while since this page has posted as I've been very busy with contract work in the background, but it's time to get this up and running again.

For your information, Google are now rolling out their November 2024 Core update. Organic traffic make fluctuate for a while, so it's even more important to be checking daily your performance and rankings.

If you’re not already aware, Google have recently announced changes in the way that they display Page Titles in the Search Results - they claim to still be using the HTML tag 80% of the time, but from some early testing so far results which I have seen show them to be taken from the H1 tag or even another H tag.

Google claims the new system describes what the page is about regardless of the particular query, but for some businesses the correct Page Title not being shown could lead to legal issues.

I would highly recommend that businesses perform a check to see what Google is showing now as a Page Title whilst solutions to stop this are being investigated, and to also monitor click through rates for any URL’s which are no longer displaying your chosen Page Title in the Search Results. Some may see improvements, but some may see drops.

Google has officially confirmed it is updating the way it generates web page titles in search results.
