As a marketing professional it is imperative that I 'Practice What I Preach'.

So, with that in mind I will be closing down The Marketing Associates' Facebook and Instagram accounts.

The reason for this? Well, it's simple! My target audience aren’t using these channels.

The Marketing Associates is almost 9 years old and has grown and developed organically over those years. At the beginning Facebook and Instagram were very much where my tribe were, but as the business has gone from strength to strength we have niched down on supporting B2B professional businesses.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the follow, the likes, the comments and the support.

Day 63: Reflect & Reboot

As we draw towards the end of the year I have started to look ahead at client planning for next year.

In order to plan for the future we need to reflect on the past. What have we learnt? What do we take with us? What do we leave behind?

This year has been a huge shift in my business, primarily down to mindset.

Shifting mindset is hard, we know what we should do but, actually changing your mindset to achieve, is another thing.

I have been absent from Instagram and Facebook for a while now and thought it was time I touched base with these accounts (especially as I wouldn't be happy if any of my clients stopped posting on their socials!)

The reasons I have been absent are two-fold; firstly, I have undertaken a '100 Day Linkedin Post Challenge'... basically I have to post a piece of content EVERY SINGLE DAY for 100 days straight... it must also have a photo of me with it....

The second reason is that my husband was diagnosed with incurable neuroendocrine cancer of the pancreas last month so time has suddenly stopped and sped up all at the same time.

But The Marketing Assistant is a business and therefore needs to keep going just in a far more focused and strategic way therefore no time for Facebook and Instagram, no time for blogs, no time for networking and no time for pointless noise.

New client kick off today, a very exciting business with big plans! The client handed me this book at the end of our meeting as he hasn't time to read it. A Marketing Consultant, like most good professionals, always needs to be learning so very excited to get stuck in to this bedtime gem!

Well, what a week!

Two great things on one day, firstly it was my centre daughters 5th Birthday, secondly it was the first Business Vision LIVE since 2019.

I had the absolute pleasure of giving a talk about using Social Media within a Marketing Strategy - a pretty big topic but 150 people came to listen and 30 people queued up to ask questions at the end.

I was super nervous but the feedback has been amazing, I've even had an email to say I was the best talk of the day (don't tell the BBC guy that...)

Anyway, special thanks to the amazing support I have had from the presentation writing to advice and tips via Facebook and then people in person on the day supporting me.
