2024 was the year of change✨

Big decisions, commitments and hard conversations. We finished the year in a way that we didn’t even think was in the cards for us again.☺️🤷‍♀️

Biggest commitment for me was my health in 2024. ❤️Recovering from miscarriage, taking steps to balance my body from food intolerances and a personal challenge to stick with meditation every single day. 2 months I fully committed to healing through meditation. Or should I say changing through meditation. 😉

Taking all that into 2025, this year is going to be the year where change will fruit into a transformation and I am here for it. 🤗

Hello 2025. 🤩

Our aim was to hike to Eagle Lake and maybe try to get up to Eagle Peak. We packed big bags to stay overnight. 🏕

To save weight, I decided to wear sturdy B2 boots so I had blisters coming up after the first 2 miles. 😂

Trail went from a path to muddy flats to a scramble along the lake for 1.5 hours. Eagle Lake's colour was turquoise blue. It eas stunning with the Eagle Peak behind. 🏞

We found beaver dams on the way and 4 beavers swimming in the lake. We camped on a beach at the end of Eagle Lake. 🐾

As we were scrambling along the lake on the way back, seagulls were going crazy around us. Probably nesting in the rocks. They were almost trying to attack us and I even got pooped on (as a defence I guess). 🕊

This particular hike (apart from the colour of the lake) looked like it could be somewhere in Scotland. The view of the lake and seeing beavers were amazing but other than that it wasn't that enjoyable. Our sleep was really bad (about that in a different post). And it made me think... 👇

How would you rate a hike or trip? How do you determine whether it was good or bad? Or does it need to be rated as good or bad?

What are your thoughts?😊

WE BOUGHT a house. 🎉😁 It's been a month when our dream came true after 2 years of working in Australia with one aim, to buy a house in Scotland when we come back. 😊

Against all the odds and warning that we might not be able to get a mortgage because we've been away for 2 years, we managed to buy a house that ticked all of our boxes in 4 months.

I decided to post it on here to capture this memory of another milestone in our lives. ❤ Our spare time quickly turned into figuring out how to start a veggie garden, where to get wood for our wood burner, and what to do with our garden so we can get a dog and chickens. 😊

I have to say that social media have become more of a distraction from real life for me about a year ago so instead of pushing myself into posting something for the sake of it, I decided to go inwards and be more present. It feels so good and I feel like so much has changed inside of me. 😊

Now, I am sitting here in gratitude listening to the roaring fire and wish for everyone to live the life they want. 😊❤

Love you

Back to the UK 🇬🇧

As I’m sitting here in quarantine, I’m finding it hard to adjust. The grey English summer is only a touch warmer than Western Australian winter. Even though weather has always had an impact on my mood, it has never been a deal breaker for me. ☀️

After four beautiful weeks of planning and organising meetings with my family and friends in the Czech Republic, I was looking forward to finally relax and do nothing for 10 days as well as get boring things like a tax return done. ✅

The pressure of finally having time and quiet space to do all those things together with the grey mood of being closed indoors (even though we have a garden) leaves me overwhelmed. I’m neither relaxing or ticking items of my list. I’m battling my goal-getting old self with my new-self who desperately wants to keep slow Australian lifestyle in the million miles an hour running Europe. 🍃

The uncertainty of starting from the bottom again, having big dreams and not knowing how we’re going to get there is leaving me uncomfortable. Again.

Even more than doing a job in Australia that I didn’t like and hated spending 12 hours a day/7 days a week there with no energy left to do things I love. Only with a vision of this experience helping us to shorten the journey to our dreams. 😊

I’m writing this not to have a moan, but in a hope that my real thoughts show you the reality of chasing dreams. Every perfect moment involves many hard ones.

As much as I’m excited for the new chapter of our lives, the fear of uncertainty is always there and always will be. It should never be the reason to stop and let your dreams to vanish.😘
