Yes Facebook and Instagram ads do still work, I’ll tell you why AND how you can create an even better experience for customers.
How do I know these ads still work? I'm still making purchases myself from ads!
Last month a friend introduced me to a natural deodorant company. I went to their website to have a look but didn't purchase.
Next, I was retargeted on Facebook and Instagram with a few ads. I read the comments to see what people were saying.
However, I still had a couple of objections.
Then, they hit me with a free trial ad.
Great!
Now I had the opportunity to try the product before I purchased for the cost of shipping (£2.99 in case you're interested!).
They sent me 3 different scents to try.
By doing this they answered by two main objections:
1️⃣ Does it work? (Biggie and the answer is yes!)
2️⃣ Which scent should I buy?
So, how could they have made this a better experience for me?
By adding a short, fun quiz to the ad via an automation.
They could have found out what fragrances I like and then tailored the 3 scents they sent me try.
Benefit to the brand:
✅ They don't waste samples that might not get used because the customer doesn't like the fragrance
✅ It could increase the order value if the customer loved more than one scent and purchased multiple items (especially if it saves them multiple shipping costs)
✅ Customer maybe ready to sign straight up for a subscription 🙌🏼
Benefit to me:
❤️ I would get to try 3 different fragrances that I would likely be guaranteed to love
❤️ I would know which scent/s I want to order from choices personalised to smells I like
❤️ I don't receive my samples and wish they'd sent me something else to try!
