Pinch, punch, first of the month 🤜 🤛

Who’s joining us on the 20th for another session of networking, learning and connecting with others?

This month we will be joined by a regular Business Hub Club attendee Nick Smith who will be taking to the front this month.

Nick is a lighting designer with a long and varied commercial lighting career behind him so he’s going to come and talk to us about what he knows best.

If you are interested in the psychology of lighting design and the effect it has upon us, and how to make the most of lighting design in a home environment.

After a short break from the shows circuit, Soil Acoustics will be back up and at ’em next week and heading to Hertfordshire for Agri-TechE's conference: “The Productive Landscape – NatureTech for Profit and Planet.”

This one-day event brings together farmers, researchers, policymakers and technology innovators to explore how NatureTech is helping measure and deliver ecosystem outcomes across the UK’s productive landscapes.

Tools like their Soil Acoustic Meter (SAM) are giving land managers a real-time window into soil biological activity, providing key insights as natural capital and environmental monitoring become increasingly important.

The event is a fantastic opportunity for them to connect with peers who are shaping the future of NatureTech, and to show how listening to the soil can play a key role in building data-driven, nature-positive land management.

We’re looking forward to seeing the conversations and ideas that come out of this one 🌱💭

We were proud to be invited to support a recent live networking event at Derby College, giving students the opportunity to gain real-world experience and build confidence in a professional setting.

The session focused on the importance of networking and first impressions, followed by a live speed networking exercise. It was fantastic to see students quickly grow in confidence and see them developing key communication skills in real time.

As a digital marketing agency, we were pleased to represent our sector and share insights into the industry, speaking with students about career pathways and real-world expectations. At a time when youth unemployment is rising, experiences like this are vital in helping young people build confidence and develop the skills they need for the workplace.

A huge thank you to Jonathan Leach from Derbyshire Business Networking for organising such a valuable and well-run event, bringing together students and local businesses from a wide range of industries.
