A move to the South if you were interested in relocating?

The successful candidate will be overseeing the farm under the owner.
There are two milking parlours, a 12 unit and a 16 unit.
The successful candidate will be looking after the 12 unit parlour with 160-170 cows coming through this.
Overall, there are in excess of 400 cows being milked.
Candidates needs to have previous experience ideally as a Herd Manager or Assistant Herd Manager.

Accommodation can be sourced nearby at a commercial rate.

It is with great regret that we have decided to cease our business operations in the UK. We have worked with many great clients and staff there over the last 10 years. As a farmer owned co-op, we have decided to focus on current growth opportunities within Ireland's dairy industry.
Our UK business was dependent on a continuous efficient flow of skilled immigrants being able to come to the country. The new immigration law applying from January 1st 2021 effectively eliminates a major source of our dairy staff. Without having access to the type of staff our dairy farmer clients need, we can’t provide the service that we want to provide.

Unfortunately, we had to take the logical step of ceasing our activities in the UK in favour of Ireland ,where a more favourable immigration regime is in place and where we can continue to deliver a quality service to our dairy farming clients.

Again a big thank you to all the great people we have met and done business with over the last 10 years, we really appreciated your business or service to us and wish you continued good farming.

This farm in West, West Cork milks 250 cows scattered across multiple platforms .Milking is done through a 20 unit herringbone parlour.

The Role:
We are seeking a person or a couple to join in helping the existing family farm team with all aspects of the operation of the dairy farm. Usual tasks required are milking, feeding, bedding, calf rearing, husbandry. As the farm is on multiple platforms a driving licence is essential.

The Applicant:
We are seeking somebody with experience in all of the above who is interested in living in a very rural and isolated location. Ideally they should have their own transport to facilitate access to local villages and shopping.

Accommodation:
There is a house available for a successful applicant.
