National Activity Providers Association is a charity and membership organisation. We are the activity association for all adult care and support services and the professional body for activity providers. We support the sector to prioritise wellbeing and promote activity, arts and engagement. Our professional and practice services development offer includes qualifications, training courses, guidance, resources, information and advice. We work with our members to contribute to national and local programmes of research and evaluation to build the evidence base for activity provision.

We are delighted to have Nicola Taylor speak at our care conference on the 5th March 2024 at St mellion international resort. Prior to working for Alive, Nicola worked in care settings for more than 25 years as a care co-ordinator and activity co-ordinator with people living with dementia. She believes passionately in the importance of meaningful activities and positive engagement as an essential part of personhood and well-being. Nicola is an experienced trainer and speaker in meaningful engagement, and has provided training in care homes all over the UK. As part of the Alive Meaningful Activity Coaching Programme, Nicola has coached care teams to embed the whole home approach to person-centred activities. With her years of experience in care homes she is able to relate to the challenges care staff face realistically, and support them to make positive changes. On 5th March 2024, Bev Futtit, digital transformation lead, will be speaking at our event. Beverly is digital transformation lead for the National Care Forum and joined the organisation in August. She leads on the digital offer to NCF members at a time when the digital transformation agenda in social care is gaining pace and volume. Having seen the benefits of digital care but also understanding the challenges of implementation, Beverly is dedicated to supporting adult social care providers to successfully adopt digital technology and processes. Beverly is an experienced adult social care leader and has extensive experience across a range of functions in adult social care including local authority commissioning, regional manager for a specialist housing and support provider and more recently running a charity providing specialist advice and support to adult social care providers around workforce development and quality improvement, which included the delivery of a range of digital projects.
