six months in vs. today
about six months into Coastin, we only had two clients and in that time we lost one of them, completely out of our control. what you hear at the start of the video is a voice note I sent to a friend when I was really struggling with it all.
we couldnāt afford to pay ourselves and it was tough, to say the least.
those long days, working through sickness because Iād burnt out, napping on the office floor, juggling a part-time job whilst working full-time hours in Coastinā¦ it was rough, but it paid off.
I by no means recommend any of that and I definitely wonāt glamourise it. it was really hard. but what would have been harder was letting the dream slip away, and I was prepared to do whatever it took to make Coastin work. not because I fully believed in myself at the time, but because I believed in Coastin š
now, those days have built something so beautiful and have given me a confidence my teenage self wouldāve dreamed of.
so if youāre in a tough season, just remember that better days are coming, and donāt forget to give yourself more credit. it will get easier & your hard work will all be worth it š¤
