🚶 Last month the NHS announced a new scheme to encourage Britons to walk more. 🚶
The programme, dubbed ‘Marathon A Month’, will offer rewards to those who walk at least 30 minutes a day. The idea being that those who manage to walk at least 30 minutes a day will walk roughly 26 miles over the course of a month, the distance of a marathon.
At DOR-2-DOR we welcome this announcement from the NHS. We have always been advocates of the benefits of regular exercise to people’s physical health and mental wellbeing. ☀️ The sun is out and yet our Post People are still out there, hard at work, making sure your leaflets get to your customers' letterboxes. ☀️

So we've assembled some quick tips to help our deliverers outside this summer!

1. Wear light coloured clothes, they reflect rather than absorb the heat.
2. Make sure you've got a bottle of water with you, it's vital to stay hydrated!
3. Always wear a hat, even if you've got lovely thick hair the top of your head can still get sun burnt!
4. Wear sun cream! (we didn't have room for this on the image, but still do!)
5. If you feel unwell, stop and take a break! Heat stroke is no joke!
