☀️🐾 HOT WEATHER WARNING FOR DOG OWNERS 🐾☀️

As temperatures continue to rise, please remember that dogs can suffer from heatstroke far quicker than people realise — and it can become life-threatening in minutes.

Even temperatures that may feel “comfortable” to us can be extremely dangerous for our dogs, especially:🐶 Flat-faced breeds🐶 Puppies and elderly dogs🐶 Overweight dogs🐶 Thick-coated breeds🐶 Dogs with underlying health conditions

Please think before walking your dog in the heat. Pavements can burn paws incredibly quickly and over-exercising in warm temperatures can have devastating consequences.

💧 Always provide fresh water🌳 Keep dogs cool and in shaded areas🧊 Use cooling mats, frozen treats, paddling pools or fans🚶 Walk early morning or later in the evening🚗 Never leave a dog in a vehicle — even for a few minutes

It is always better to miss one walk than risk your dog’s life.
