Mizunara oak is used for whisky making, isn’t it?

It is, but as ever, the AB InBev Tripel Karmeliet team challenged tradition and tested this noble wood to its limits with this year’s limited edition barrel aged Grand Cru.

Our design reflects the rare, raw and winding qualities of Mizunara. Like the beer, it takes masterful craftsmanship to respectfully challenge its characterful form and create something truly remarkable.

No one can question the Tripel Karmeliet team’s pursuit of perfection.
And, once again, it’s absolutely paid off.

Sold out online, launched for the first time ever in off-trade and saw a +50% increase in DTC bottle sales vs. 2024 plus a 100% increase in on-trade sales YOY.

From high up in the Swiss peaks down to the to Dutch lowlands, the river Rhine carries stories.

Stories shaped by villages, vineyards and tradition along its banks.

Those stories meet in Arcen, where they mix and meld together into this years Grand Prestige Vatgerijpt. Four distinctive beers, each infused with regional spirits from the river’s journey. Flowing marbling captures the mixing of flavours and stories following along each section of the Rhine.

After a hugely successful and enjoyable launch weekend at the brewery, we’re excited to share a first glimpse of our case study.

Can we squeeze another award in before the end of 2024?

Yes, we CAN!*

What a pleasure it was to be asked to create a new visual identity for Georgia’s natural mineral water, Borjomi.

Having been an inseparable component to dining occasions for the last 135 years, this was not a task for the feint of heart…

The new visual identity aimed to capture the brand’s values and history while accentuating the product’s heritage, premium quality and natural source.

We crafted, then elevated the brand’s distinctive assets (The Stag, buvette and mountain range) to iconic status across the entire core range of bottles and cans, resulting in a head turning (and now award-winning) design.

Last week we heard that our work alongside IDS Borjomi Georgia and Anna Petruk had won big at the Global Bottled Water Awards, bagging the ‘Best In Can’ trophy.

We’ll drink to that.

Many of us know how hard it can be to break into this industry.

That’s why we jumped at the chance to partake in the again this year, to support the next generation of creative talent.

Our Design Director, Pete Sturgeon, joined the .love for a two-day workshop last weekend aimed at giving budding creatives a glimpse into agency life and a chance to hone their skills with guidance from industry professionals.

The client was Ben Akers from men’s mental health charity, - a topic close to Pete’s heart.

There were also inspiring talks from Kendra Futcher about the power of words and Karen Cording about workplace wellbeing.

Pete was totally blown away by the quality of thinking and powerful ideas presented.

A huge thank you and congratulations to everyone involved, we already can’t wait for the next one.

Friday brought us back to university, but this time to offer some advice to some vibrant third-year students.🎓

Tim and Jess received an exciting invitation to the University of Gloucestershire where they shared their post-grad experiences. Jess, a proud alumna, vividly remembers being in their shoes 2 years ago. She shared insights on navigating the waters of securing that first junior role. Meanwhile, Tim, a seasoned traveler of the design world, from the chaos of LA to the hustle and bustle of London, and finally back to his South West hometown, painted a vivid picture of the exhilarating rollercoaster ride that is the design industry.

A heartfelt shoutout to for welcoming us back with open arms! We’re already eagerly anticipating our next encounter in a few weeks for some high-octane speed meets! 🚀

The incredible story of the limited edition beer that helped make Hertog Jan The Netherlands’ best-selling beer continues…

For this year’s 7th edition of Grand Prestige Vatgerijpt, the brand looked across the Atlantic to Latin America, where woodcut printing has been used to depict folklore for centuries. The ‘Latijns-Amerika Editie’ celebrates craft skills handed down through generations, inseparable from the physical graft that connects growers, distillers and brewers alike.

Aged in Rhum Agricole, Tequila, Cachaça and Mezcal barrels, the Grand Prestige beer assimilates their flavours while the stories of these artisan spirits is told through this traditional art form, illustrated by Mexican woodcut artist Carlos Palmares.

Our most ambitious Vatgerijpt edition yet. We can’t wait to taste them! ✨

How it started vs how it ended… Over the last nine years, we’ve been working with Hertog Jan to bring to life its positioning ‘for the love of beer’ through design. What we didn’t expect is for that sentiment to be embraced by consumers enough to take it from no.4 to the no.1 beer in the Netherlands.
