Ways to wear a military style jacket. This is so versatile, I can also tweak each of the outfits again - so change the shoes and bags to make each feel different again.

This jacket would be great for -

Dramatic style personalities. It injects interest and shape. You will be most likely to wear it with jeans, asymmetric shapes and bold colours or patterns.

Romantics amongst you will love this with a pretty skirt and maybe some frills or tulle.

Classics - hmmm. Maybe not.

Naturals - possibly, most likely with the shorts and Birkenstocks.

Creatives - absolutely. Worn with boho pieces, retro pieces or literally thrown over anything. You will love all the detailing and add even more in accessories too.

Have fun with it and make it your own. Choose the best colour for you and embrace your Adam Ant.

Does anyone else think of Adam Ant? I saw this recently and loved the detailing. It is from Zara and amazingly the large fits my shoulders and long arms so it had to be a keeper.

I’m going to have fun styling this lots of ways and in the summer it is great to have a light jacket to pop on.

The cream colour is great for my warm complexion and the shape accentuates the waist. I chose to add a cropped shirt and pick the yellow out in my timberland boat shoes for a touch of colour and fun.

Tan and red today. Love this pairing and it is great for the warmer months.

Start with basics and build your outfit.

Think about -

Colour - which to choose, combinations and how to put them together.

Shapes - look at your body shape and lines.

Scale - how big should your patterns, points of interest and accessories be?

Practicality - what does your outfit need to do for you today?

Joy - enjoy it!

I had a lovely session today with a client in her beautiful home. We did a colour review and then wardrobe edit. It is very normal to have piles of clothes to donate/sell/alter/bin, what is unusual though, is when I can take items home that are in my colours and they fit perfectly!

My amazing client is not only a spring, but just taller than me, and she makes her own clothes - which are amazing!

When at the end she asked if I would like anything in her pile to donate/sell etc, I chose this amazing bell sleeve sweater which she made, and a bright green jumper that both fit like a dream!

We also managed to sort through winter and summer wardrobes which is so therapeutic. There are a few items to alter but as she is so gifted at clothes making she can do these herself.

Hugely grateful.

BNI has been a surprise. Networking, in a very structured way. It is proving very worthwhile in growing my business and myself.

I met Laura there from Chequers financial planning and she is helping me to plan for the future. Laura helps with financial planning, investments, pensions and estate planning.

I then had the lovely opportunity of doing her colour analysis - what a beautiful cool summer, and would you believe she already had this suit which is the perfect colour for her!

I’m loving balloon trousers! Great for adding some shape if you are too heavy or straight up and down. Also good at skimming any weight around your hips. Also if you are petite the ties stop them being too long! Fabulous!

Pick your colour and embrace them!

Add touches that align with your style personality - bit of drama if you are like me - wear with classic t shirts and shirts if you are more classic, or add lace and frills if you love romance.

These are Tesco’s
Top - Zara
Jacket - last year River Island
Shoes - last year TK Maxx
Bag - Mango

This is the road I walk along to get to my nearest town. It is Bridge Street in Bungay, Suffolk. There are so many beautifully painted houses u thought I would have a bit of fun and match them to my Kettlewell drapes.

Which is your favourite? Would you paint your house in one of your best colours?

I popped in to visit a boutique in my local town and it did not disappoint. I now live nearer Bungay where &bo have just opened.

This beautiful short kimono is in great colours for me (there are other colour ways too), and goes beautifully with my Kettlewell Darcy top in coffee, jeans and Birkenstocks. Jeans are old M&S ones.

I am looking forward to stying this with vest tops when it is warmer and dresses. The fabric is so soft and flowy.

Looking forward to supporting these guys and maybe some events together. Do go and visit.

The sun was out so I had to go for yellow.

My new CMB friends will see I’ve embraced the light side! Although I couldn’t resist the bright yellow.

My new Birkenstocks are great. Colour is right as a cream which is warmer than white. I am large in scale (as are the buckles) and they are even rectangular ( great with my angular body lines). Win win.

Off for a family lunch.
