Most foot health care practitioners are losing local home visit bookings because of a five second mistake on their business page.
​I spent the weekend speaking at a practitioner conference about how to manage a digital presence without losing your evenings to stress.
​While I was there we did a live five second audit of the profiles in the room.
​The audience was filled with brilliant clinicians who provide incredible patient care. But when it came to their online profiles many were completely invisible to the local families who need them most.
​Here is the reality for mobile health businesses.
​If a busy adult child is looking for someone to visit their elderly parent they will not hunt for your information. If they cannot see your phone number and the specific towns you travel to within five seconds they will move on to the next practitioner.
​Fixing your digital presence does not mean filming videos every single day or trying to become an online influencer.
​It starts with getting the basics right.
​You need a clear service area an accurate phone number and a simple bio that explains exactly how you help.
​I am currently helping practitioners from the event tidy up their pages and Google Business profiles so they can stop worrying about technology and get back to patient care.

I did something today that most business owners hate. I spent the entire day doing outreach.

Honestly? It was actually inspiring. I sat down and just searched for brilliant local businesses right here in Bedfordshire to connect with.

I found so many incredible companies doing great work. But I also noticed one major thing that is costing nearly everyone, customers.

So many local businesses have great social media pages, but they are completely missing from their Google profiles.

When a local customer searches for your service or shop on Google Maps, they want to click straight through to see your recent updates. They want to see your opening hours, your recent wins, or your portfolio.

If that link is missing, you are making them work too hard. They won't "hunt" for your pages; they will just click on the next business on the list.

Marketing doesn't always have to be expensive ads or making videos. Sometimes the biggest wins are just fixing the tiny broken links in your digital foundation.

It is the easiest win you will have all week. Stop what you are doing, go check your Google Business Profile right now, and make sure yoyr social links are working.

There is a viral post going around claiming that a computer program can completely manage your social media in just two hours a month.

​I strongly disagree.

​If you run a hospitality business in Bedfordshire, your entire reputation is built on how you make people feel.

​You cannot automate a welcoming smile. A piece of software cannot walk into your pub in Clifton and capture the warmth of a busy Sunday service. It cannot photograph the pride of your head chef or the banter with your regular customers.

​When a venue relies entirely on automated posts, their feed quickly feels robotic and totally disconnected from the community.
