Not long now...
The Bedford Beer and Cider Festival are thrilled and privileged to announce we are hosting the book launch of local author Lloyd Lugsden's 2nd volume of Dead Pubs of Bedfordshire. This time, Lloyd looks at pubs
from the sleepy hamlet of Sheldon to Luton Town and all in-between, including Bedford town pubs. The book covers over 30 pubs and going on the first volume will be an extremely interesting read that I'm sure will trigger some warm reminisces and fond memories. This time there is also an interesting
night out in a lost pub piece featuring local characters from circa 1970. Lloyd will be available at the festival on Friday evening to chat and sign copies of his book. We are predicting it we be extremely popular given the speed the first volume sold out, he had to reprint it within days!!.
Lloyd is already working on the his next project and is working hard on his research focusing on villages and towns south of Bedford for Vol.3!, so maybe we could be looking at launching Vol3 at next years festival.
Lloyd is also requesting your help to please keep the photos and anecdotes coming! As he doesn't want to miss any gems that he doesn't know.
After the launch, it will be available from Eagle Bookshop in Bedford. So don't forget to follow Dead Pubs of Bedfordshire on Facebook and Instagram for all the latest info...
