📦 Busy behind the scenes at Orchardville Works!

Our participants have been hard at work on another handpacking project – providing our clients with a reliable, high-quality packing service while gaining valuable hands-on experience, practical skills, confidence and teamwork along the way.

It’s a service that delivers for our clients AND creates meaningful opportunities for the people we support. 💙🙌

Our North Down Friday Gardening Group made the most of the lovely autumn weather at Next Steps! ☀️🍁

Fresh air, gardening and great company – what better way to spend a Friday? 💚🌱

We were delighted to welcome Health Minister Robbie Butler MLA to Orchardville Belfast to meet some of the people at the heart of what we do. 💙

From Ally putting great barista skills to the test and Matthew talking football, to Michelle sharing her journey with Orchardville since the 90s and Kirsty proudly chatting about the job she loves – our participants certainly kept the Minister busy!

He also met our Transitions participants and heard more about our Gift of Inclusion campaign and the importance of creating opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autism to live, learn and work.

A brilliant visit – and, as always, nobody tells the Orchardville story better than our participants themselves. Super well done!💙

🍳🥗 I Can Cook It! 💜

Our group have been taking on the I Can Cook It challenge, learning how to prepare healthy, delicious food while exploring the difference between healthy and unhealthy choices.

A great way to build cooking skills with the added bonus of enjoying something tasty at the end! 😋👏

🍂🍎 Autumn days don't get much better than this! 🍁

Our Orchardville participants enjoyed a beautiful autumn day volunteering with the Cultra Conservation Volunteers at the Ulster Folk Museum.

They were busy preparing sloe berries and native crab apples for germination next spring, helping to protect and grow our native plants for future generations. 🌱💚

A lovely day spent outdoors, learning new skills and giving nature a helping hand! 🍃

Can you believe it’s been a whole week since our Diversity & Inclusion Festival at Crawfordsburn? 🎉💃🎶

What a day! Great music, brilliant performances, lots of laughs and, most importantly, everyone coming together to celebrate diversity and inclusion. 💜

We’re still smiling about it… but the big question is: would you do it all over again? 👀🙌

☕ Did you know today is ? 💜

What better way to celebrate than with our Belfast participants putting their barista skills into practice and making some lovely coffee! 👏☕

From learning how to use the coffee machine to perfecting their technique, our participants are building practical skills, confidence and independence along the way.

And, of course, there’s the very important job of taste testing! 😋☕
