This year’s Semrush Ambassador Programme gave us plenty to take back into the agency, but one lesson stood out above the rest: the power of building strategy around real search behaviour, not assumptions.

Working closely with the Ambassador community pushed us to re-evaluate how we validate ideas, test content formats, and prioritise opportunities. The discussions, workshops, and peer insight made it clear that even seasoned teams can fall into pattern-based decision making. The programme challenged that.

What we take forward into 2026 is a sharper, more evidence-led approach. We’re applying that thinking across client accounts and internal brands, from early-stage keyword discovery through to content governance and post-launch optimisation. It has strengthened how we operate as an agency and raised the standard of what we deliver.

A huge thank you to the Semrush team and fellow Ambassadors. The programme has created a space for genuine knowledge sharing, and that has been the most valuable part of all.

On 28th May, the team at GEKKOSHOT attended the Stripe Tour London 2025 at the ICC Auditorium, ExCeL London.

The event brought together fintech leaders, innovators, & fast-scaling businesses to explore the future of payments - including how AI is reshaping fraud prevention, checkout experiences, and financial operations.

Gekkoshot teamed up with this years Generation Innovation which aims to empower young people to thrive as the next leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs of the future.

Our digital marketing executive Courtney took part in the Work Experience Programme last week held at Catalyst. The students worked hard to develop a fantastic solution for the Gekkoshot challenge.

Yesterday's Generation Innovation BBQ at the Naut in Catalyst was a fantastic experience! We had the privilege of hearing from Emer Maguire, whose talk was both insightful and entertaining, providing us with plenty of laughs and valuable perspectives 👏

We are eagerly anticipating the Generation Innovation main event in a few weeks time when Gekkoshot will join forces with 41 other companies for the Generation Innovation Work Experience Programme, providing over 700 young talents with invaluable hands-on experience.
