Flexible workspace in London and Belfast are changing the way you and businesses work - Hubflow are creating spaces where you can genuinely thrive.

After chatting with Hubflow founder Gary McCausland on the Digg Podcast I wanted to see the vision for myself.

From visiting Hubflow at 37 Lombard Street to getting a sneak peek inside its new flexible workspace at 71 Queen Victoria Street, Central London, it’s clear this is about so much more than providing a desk.

It’s about creating the right environment, connections and opportunities for businesses to grow and succeed.

A big thank you to James Veasey, Director of Growth and Property at Hubflow for showing me around its London locations and sharing what’s coming next.

The future of work is flexible - and Hubflow is helping to shape it.

If you would like to listen to Gary’s full conversation, you can search Digg Podcast on Spotify, YouTube or Apple Podcasts.

It’s a brilliant feeling when you feel like your concerns are being listened to by the people who can actually make a positive change.

I got the opportunity to represent NI businesses HM Revenue and Customs headquarters and speak with the Exchequer Secretary to HM Treasury Dan Tomlinson MP alongside Claire Walsh Director of Customer Experience at HMRC and other businesses and organisations.

I brought to the table both the positives and challenging aspects for businesses navigating the new Tax made Digital Scheme.

If you feel you lack confidence on the new digital process or you want more information on getting your business set up or how tax works, search tax confident on the HMRC website⬇️

https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/hm-revenue-customs for more information on about getting your business set up or how tax works, search tax confident

Or go to your App Store and download the new HMRC app.

Downloading the HMRC app is the quickest and easiest to manage your money and tax. On the app you can check your pay before it lands in your bank, pay your Self Assessment bill, claim and manage your Child Benefit and much more. It is also the simplest way to check and claim a tax refund.

Would love to know how you are finding the new system⬇️

The new way of managing your taxes can create fear. Having your own business has many challenges and we need to decrease stress not increase it.

It doesn’t have to be stressful there are lots of resources on the HMRC website and the app to help you.

Outside the HM Revenue and Customs headquarters on Parliament Street.

Just a few of the business owners who participated in the Roundtable discussion and spoke so passionately about their businesses and how they have been navigating the “Tax made digital” scheme.

This is Jayne Thompson who is the Customer Strategy Lead HM Revenue and Customs

She follows my work on social media and reached out to ask if I would represent NI businesses at the discussion.

She’s also a great tour guide of London. She helped Gerard and I navigate the trains and tubes in the heatwave to make our way to the meeting 🙌🌞

Of course, I had to get the obligatory Big Ben photo!

Stephen McCammon is the Managing Director and owner of Menarys the historic Northern Ireland based family department store chain with a story that goes back over 103 years.

They are Northern Ireland’s most recognised family retail businesses, now with 25 stores in 2026.

Stephen talks about the Troubles, surviving bomb damage, the credit crunch, Covid, and the collapse of Arcadia.

He also opens up about leadership, succession, rebuilding after setbacks, and why Menarys still believes in the high street, community, and the people on the shop floor.

This is a powerful conversation about family business, retail resilience, and what it really takes to keep going when everything around you is changing.

I remember those messy early days. I didn’t have a clue how to run a podcast and the commitment it would take to make it a success.

I just kept moving through each Series - five episodes at a time. Then ten. I listened to everyone who would give me any advice.

I took small steps. I made lots of mistakes and I often felt like giving up.

If that sounds like how you are feeling right now about work or life then my advice is - look at the bigger picture. Do you want this to work? Do you love it? Are you willing to make sacrifices to make it work?

If the answer is yes then keep going. Small steps. Ask for help and never be afraid to make changes along the way.

I’m glad I kept going and I am so grateful to for believing in me and the Digg Podcast from the very start.

Grateful for the many sponsors along the way. It wouldn’t be possible without those strong powerful partnerships.

Bring on Series 17💥

Most businesses are not struggling to find work. They are struggling to find the right people with the right skills.

I recently partnered with the
They have just launched the Business Barometer 2026.

The biggest takeaways for me are ⬇️

Skills shortages continue to hold businesses back, affecting productivity, growth and future planning but there is a huge opportunity to tap into overlooked talent, particularly young people who are currently not in education, employment or training (NEET’s)

In Northern Ireland, skills shortages remain a significant concern, reinforcing the need for stronger collaboration between employers and education providers.

I highly recommend you download the Business Barometer and use it as an evidence base for your future recruitment and in-house training programmes.

Download the Business Barometer - link in bio.

I would love to know your thoughts on this.

I know how challenging it can be for healthcare professionals and their teams to reach a new audience online

We train healthcare teams some of which include dentists, GPs, paediatric specialists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and private clinics.

We deliver digital marketing training for healthcare providers, specialising in social media strategy, content, and online visibility so they can confidently reach more patients, build trust, and grow their practice online.

If you want your team to feel confident online and start growing your practice alongside your professional profile then get in touch to discuss a package that will suit your needs.

The All Island Conference is not just a conference it’s an experience.

That’s how Roisin McDermott described it yesterday and you can see from my video it certainly is an immersive, positive experience for women in the world of work.

It was an honour to be the host for the third year running. I will never tire of hearing the story’s of amazing women.
