'It's all in the edit' is one of my favourite phrases. I made this short reel for Railtons Auctions. I filmed Jim moving around the house, examining the pieces. I didn't give him any particular instruction, he just did what he always does. However, in the edit, I concentrated on showing his hands because hands are the parts of us that demonstrate connection, care, tenderness. Anyone watching this reel would infer that Jim takes care of those precious possessions that have been left behind.
