Thought I'd ask ChatGPT to give me a summary of the decline in Online Engagement over Printed Engagement in 2025. Which, is a bit difficult as the year hasn't ended yet, but this is what it had to say. And whilst I might be biased... why wouldn't I be,
It totally makes sense why YOUR posts aren't getting the attention they deserve, and so, instead of ditching the Social Media posts, or ditching the Leaflets this year.... use them in tandem.

📉 Online Organic Content: Once a Garden, Now a Landfill
Once upon a time, the internet was full of quirky, heartfelt, original posts. People blogged their feelings, wrote essays at 2am, and uploaded blurry pictures not because they were aesthetic—but because that’s just how good the camera's were.
Remember your first email address? I double dare you to log in and read the 10,000+ emails..... There's a reason you moved to a new one, the old one was being spammed. Sure though, theres some genuine emails in there that will now never be seen due to the influx of nonsense emails.
My original email address - over 12,000 unread emails - sorry, it just got too noisy. So, I created a new email, which inevitably became too noisy... and so the cycle continues.
Then came The Algorithm™, a mysterious AI overlord whose love language is:
frequency, predictability, mild emotional manipulation and zero human interaction.
Now your beautifully crafted, heartfelt message competes with:
A cat playing a keyboard, A guy pointing at floating text
A girl saying “Here’s why you’re not seeing progress 👇”
Sponsored content disguised as authenticity
Organic content didn’t die.
It was buried under 200 billion reels about productivity hacks that definitely do not work.......Well, some might.... but they are also buried under the same thing.....
Print media, the grandparent of content formats, is somehow still engaging, mostly because you can’t doom-scroll a magazine unless you have truly committed to caffeine.
Print has:
✍️ Editors (actual humans!) not Algorithms
🧠 Depth (sentences longer than 8 words!)
📚 Scarcity (you can finish a magazine — try finishing the internet.)
🧘 Built-in focus (you can’t swipe a book away accidentally during a sneeze.)
In short:
Print is like a slow-cooked meal.
Social media is like an Air Fryer. Instantly Cooked!! (that's what the kids say anyway).
🤦♂️ And Now… the Irony - I'm not going to print leaflets for this!
You are reading a comedic critique of declining online engagement……which is posted on the very platforms whose engagement I am roasting……where it may be seen by approximately 12 people and a bot named “Anonymous230.”
