If you’re a new garden designer and it’s been 6 months with no real enquiries… Stop posting. Fix this instead.

Most people will tell you to keep posting.

But if the message is unclear, more content just spreads confusion faster.

Clarity is what brings clients in.

Save this and fix one thing this week.

If you’re a garden designer who’s been posting content, updating your website, and still wondering where the next enquiry is coming from — the problem usually isn’t your work.

It’s that nobody can find you. And those who do land on your page don’t quite understand what makes you different.

That’s exactly what The Visibility Foundation fixes.

We start with the stuff most designers skip — getting crystal clear on who your ideal client actually is, auditing what your website and Instagram are really saying (and not saying), and building a proper keyword strategy so the right people in the right locations can find you.

There are three ways to work with me on this:

✅ Premium — I handle everything for you. Full research, audit, and strategy delivered and ready to implement.

✅ Guided — We work through it together. You’re involved, but I’m leading the process and keeping you on track.

✅ Self-Guided — Budget is tight but you’re motivated? I give you the exact frameworks, checklists, and video walkthroughs to do it yourself properly.

I’m only opening this up to 2 designers in May — so spaces are genuinely limited.

If you’re tired of guessing and want a clear strategy that actually makes sense for your business, DM me the word FOUNDATION and I’ll send you the details.

This is for every garden designer, landscaper and garden business owner posting content and hearing nothing back. You don’t have a talent problem — you have a messaging problem.

Follow me for more tips, or send me a DM and I’ll show you where to start with my Content to Client framework.

Want the exact templates to create these 3 pinned posts for your garden design profile?

I’ve broken down each one with fill-in-the-blank scripts so you can film them this week. They’re designed specifically for garden designers who want to turn their Instagram into a client-generating machine—not just a portfolio that sits there doing nothing.

Comment PINNED below and I’ll send them straight over.

Stop chasing testimonials. Start mining conversations.

Your best social proof is already sitting in your inbox—you just haven’t noticed it yet.

Most garden designers wait for clients to write formal reviews (which rarely happens), or post generic “loved working with you!” comments that don’t actually persuade anyone.

But your past clients have already told you EXACTLY what transformed for them. In emails. In texts. In WhatsApp messages after you finished their project.

Those specific phrases—“I finally feel proud to have people over” or “Our garden actually gets used now”—are worth more than a hundred five-star ratings.

This spring, before the season gets crazy, dig through your client conversations and pull out the gold.

Where to look:
✅ Email replies after project completion
✅ WhatsApp messages during the design process
✅ Text messages thanking you months later
✅ Voice notes or verbal feedback you jotted down
✅ Comments on progress photos you shared
✅ Thank you cards or handwritten notes
✅ Follow-up call conversations

You’ll find:
✨ Emotional transformations you forgot they shared
✨ Specific problems you solved
✨ Proof that positions you differently from every other designer

Then use those real words on your website, in your booking flow, on your services pages.

Because when potential clients see themselves in someone else’s story, that’s when they book the call.

I was prompted to write about this book when I saw my friend Gareth talking about it in one of his recent posts.

In case you haven’t heard about 'Atomic Habits' it’s currently in the top 10 non-fiction books in the UK.

It’s suitable for anyone who has a list of things they want to achieve but never seems to get them done.

And it ties in nicely with a lot of principles within the mentoring group I’m part of too.

It could be you want to get fitter or improve your marketing or get more clients.

By simply being more specific about that desire it's more likely to happen.

The best way to achieve this is to write it down in your today's to-do list OR weekly schedule as a purposeful action.

I will do this, at this time, in this way to achieve this.

This is a great way to keep your social media and blog posts in good shape.

If it’s a habit you want to develop long term then tag it onto another habit, such as "after making my morning coffee I will write down 5 titles for my next social media posts".

Finally, the quote that really resonated with me was from the book:

“Building habits in the present, allows you to do more of what you want in the future” - James Clear.

So, what are you waiting for?

Here's a recent project I worked on for AgriEnable.

They are a consultancy focused on improving change and performance in the agri-food and agribusiness sectors.

My deliverables for this were to design a logo and website to help empower the business and to help generate new leads.

It's a simple design but I think it strikes the right balance of the key elements from the brief - Relaxed, personable, pragmatic – but above all, professional.

A big thanks go to Adrian at Agro Mavens Ltd for his collaboration on this project.

And good luck with your new venture David Farley.
