Just over a year ago, this webinar series was getting around 30–40 registrations.
This week?
412 people have registered for ONE webinar.
But actually, there’s a number I’m even more pleased with than that.
The registration page has had 427 visitors.
And 412 of them registered.
That means only 15 people visited the page and decided not to sign up.
And even that isn’t quite accurate.
Because some of those 15 visits are me.
I regularly go onto the page to check everything is working, grab information for an email, check wording or remind myself exactly what we’ve put on there.
The business owner will have visited it too.
So the actual number of genuine potential attendees who looked at the webinar and thought…
“Nah. Not for me.”
…is probably even smaller.
That matters.
Because free does NOT automatically mean people will sign up.
We’ve all clicked onto a free webinar, download, event or training page and thought:
Nope.
Not relevant enough.
Not interesting enough.
Not worth giving up an hour for.
Not worth another email landing in my inbox.
So getting people onto the page is only part of the job.
Getting the right people there and then giving them something they immediately recognise as relevant to them is the clever bit.
And that is exactly what we’ve been building for the last 12+ months.
When we launched this bi-weekly webinar series, registrations were around 30–40, with roughly half joining live and others watching later through the training vault.
The vault runs on a freemium model — 14 days free access followed by a small monthly subscription — so the value of every webinar continues long after the live session finishes.
Month by month, the audience has grown.
Not because we’ve thrown random webinars at them every fortnight.
Quite the opposite.
I’ve been very deliberate about curating the programme.
The subjects have to be relevant.
The speakers have to have something genuinely useful to say.
The messaging has to reflect what the audience actually cares about.
The emails have to make people stop and think:
That sounds useful. I need to be there.
And clearly, this week, we got that very right.
There’s another side to the story too.
As the audience grew, suppliers started wanting to be part of it.
At the beginning of this year, demand had increased enough for us to start charging suppliers £199 to present a webinar.
We are now increasing that to £249.
So something that started with a small audience and a simple idea has become an audience-building, revenue-generating platform.
And I’ve largely built it in the background.
My client was moving abroad and having a baby during much of this, so was understandably fairly hands-off.
Which meant I just got on with it.
Strategy.
Audience development.
CRM.
Email marketing.
Webinar promotion.
Content curation.
Commercialisation.
Training vault.
Supplier marketing.
And continually looking at the numbers and asking:
What does this audience want next?
No massive launch.
No ridiculous hype.
No “six-figure funnel”.
Just a very well thought-out service, consistently marketed to the right people.
30–40 registrations became 412.
And perhaps more importantly…
427 page visitors became 412 registrations.
That tells me we’re not just getting attention.
We’ve built something the audience genuinely wants.
And this is a service I offer.
So if you have expertise, an audience you want to grow, a webinar or training concept you want to turn into something commercially useful, or simply an idea that needs someone to take hold of it and make it happen…
Is this something you want me to do for you?
