🚗 Why carry a high-vis vest in your car? Because if you break down at night in dark clothing… you’re basically invisible. 🥷

The UK Highway Code (Rule 277) advises drivers involved in a breakdown or incident to wear high-visibility clothing if they have it — and for good reason. Being seen earlier gives other drivers more time to react.

From a Health & Safety perspective, employers also have duties under:
▪ The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
▪ Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999
▪ PPE at Work Regulations 1992 (amended 2022)

Many fleet operators and businesses now require drivers to carry high-vis PPE as part of their vehicle safety kit.
