The good book.

One of our most all-encompassing projects to date, the Windhill Villa book brought together identity design, branding, copywriting, photography and printing, into one beautifully-produced package. From on-site visits to researching heritage reports, creating bespoke illustrations and asset design, this body of work utilised the skills of the entire Douglas team and is one we are hugely proud of. While technology may not yet allow you to feel the cloth-binding and luxurious print finishes seen here, we’re always happy to discuss a project like this in person.

Exploring a new brand identity starts long before a logo or colour palette – it begins with vision.

Stylescapes are a powerful tool in bringing that vision to life early on. By creating and comparing a number of distinct directions, it’s possible to see how different moods, tones and aesthetics shape the personality of your brand. It’s not always about what looks ‘best’, but what feels right. Testing stylescapes can help to create conversation, identify preferences, and ultimately align everyone involved. Think of it as the creative compass for design ex*****on – a clear path, no deviations.

Moody, monochrome and a little bit rebellious.

A bespoke book that celebrates the Porsche 911 Dakar in all its raw and gritty glory – with textured imagery rich in both detail and atmosphere. Because sometimes, the quietest tones can make the loudest statements.

There’s something very special about bringing the past into the present. We loved creating this personalised stationery for a truly one-of-a-kind period home restoration — where every detail tells a story.

Thoughtful touches, timeless character and a little touch of paper magic.

Bringing a beautiful period home back to life, one detail at a time. Think timeless textures, soft heritage tones and the perfect balance of old-meets-new charm.

This identity celebrates the character of the past while making way for modern living — because great design never goes out of style.

Pretty in pink. Thinking back to sunnier times and this Rhode Island party project that went heavy on the Wes Anderson. Think fangirl elements aplenty, with branded stationery, curious keepsakes and print finishes to die for.

The Bish in all its pre-publication glory.

To see our combined design, production and writing efforts come to fruition like this, hot of the press, is a quarterly joy—as exciting at issue 07 as it was at issue 01. Out next week, our newest issue can be found at any one of our regular outlets, see thebishmag.co.uk for more information.

“We could wax lyrical all day about the full service we get from Douglas. In fact, we probably have! But having our work carried out by people who can design, create and print everything to our exacting requirements, and in-house at that, is worth its weight in gold. Or silver, if you take our roundel above. We discussed such finishes as this, as well as paper weights and stocks, at great length, to ensure every aspect of the magazine looked and felt right. The creative team have such a breadth of knowledge and really know better than anyone how to achieve the best possible result for our projects.”
