There are lots of reasons why branding stops working.
Your business may have evolved and youâve outgrown it. Other times, itâs because youâve spent so much time looking at everyone else in your industry that youâve unconsciously started blending in.
Itâs understandable. When youâre surrounded by businesses doing similar things, it can feel safer to follow the same visual cues, use the same language and position yourself in a way that feels familiar.
Memorable brands arenât built in the safe zone though.
The brands that connect are the ones that embrace what makes them different - their perspective, personality, story and way of doing things.
The goal isnât to look different for the sake of it. Itâs to uncover what already makes your business unique and make sure your branding reflects it.
