Yesterday’s “What the Hell Is Your P&L?” event was such a brilliant session! 📊

It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day of running your business, so we loved giving business owners and managing directors the space to really get to grips with their finances.

We had a fantastic mix in the room, from marketing agencies and performing arts schools to property developers, salons and aesthetic practitioners

🤔 Be honest... the only marketing you do is posting for free to social media... 😬

You don't run paid ads. You don't do SEO. You don't have an email marketing campaign. . You don't do videos. You don't have databases of client data... You don't even have a proper business email ffs, you're hustling away with a Gmail address... 🙈

And you don't do it, because you don't understand it all.

You know how to post on Facebook and Insta and maybe LinkedIn so that's what you do. Over and over. And over. And over...

But the leads don't come. Least not quickly enough.

We couldn’t be more proud of Raf and Connor.

A shining example of two entrepreneurs who sought advice - took action - and implemented their plans flawlessly and they are successful as a result.

Their attention to detail is impeccable - ensuring every aspect of their business is done right from legals, taxes, HR, branding, packaging, financial management - no corner was cut, no “boring” bits glossed over.

They did the work. Including the really dull stuff that isn’t sexy, but necessary.

From a coaching and mentoring point of view I wish everyone was like Raf and Connor. You give them a task and they go and do it - in full and on time. Not “I’ve been busy” “I haven’t had time” “I’ve had a lot going on” - no excuses, they just get it done. And that is why they are successful. They don’t say, they do.

Well done I am so proud of you both 🩷🎉🍾

✨ Still trying to comprehend the weekend we’ve had! ✨

On Friday, we were invited to the BIBA Awards ceremony, where we were absolutely blown away to win New Business of the Year 2026! 🏆

With so many incredible businesses in our category, we honestly weren’t sure we had what it took, making this win even more special. We are still pinching ourselves!

Firstly, none of this would have been possible without our amazing team and family. ❤️ They work tirelessly, always going above and beyond to ensure we deliver the very best customer experience and products. We are so immensely proud of each and every one of them.

We’d also like to give a massive thank you to the Small Business Academy, especially our wonderful coaches, John & Niki. Their help, guidance and support have been fundamental in setting up Beurre, and we truly wouldn’t be where we are today without them. We all owe you both such a huge thank you! ❤️

This achievement has given us renewed confidence that we’re creating something truly special for our community here in Lytham St Annes and across Lancashire. We are so proud of our community and feel incredibly blessed to live and work here.

🫣 This is a hill I will die on.... and accountants will hate me for it.... 🫣

But if there is ONE thing in my business I will NEVER delegate - and neither should you, its the money! 💰

The money is literally why most people run a business – but all the time I hear “oh the accountant does it” “I’ll have to ask the accountant for those figures”

LIKE HOW DO YOU RUN A BUSINESS IF YOU DON’T KNOW ARGHHHHHHH 🤯

This session will give business owners financial control – stop managing your business based on your bank balance. Know exactly how much profit you want, need and plan to make long before it happens. Know *𝗛𝗢𝗪* to make it happen.

Stop dreading end of year accounts, VAT returns and an email from the accountant that says “Please pay HMRC £8,456 by 5pm tomorrow” and run a calm, profitable, proacive business that prioritises healthy cashflow and the profit you deserve for your hard work!

YES, it might mean leaving your comfort zone.

🙈 There's an uncomfortable truth that business owners don't want to hear.... but they need to.... 🙈

You don't need to go to more events.
You don't need to learn more marketing techniques.
You don't need to work more on your brand.

You need to build the boring, unsexy, solid foundations of a profitable business.

Too many people want to decorate the cake, but they don't want to mix the flour and the butter, and weigh the ingredients and bake the cake. Because that isn't 'fun'

They are 'too busy' to work on their business, but they are running around fire fighting, flying by the seat of their pants, reacting to whatever drama rears it's head on any given Monday.

If they do get a holiday, they spend a week by the pool with their phone in their hand... getting involved... problem solving

This workshop is the one nearly every business we support really needs - and yet it's the one we always struggle to fill! (Sexy Social media / digital marketing on the other hand, everyone wants to attend.... 😅)

Because it means actually doing some work. Learning how to *actually* run a business instead of pratting about being a busy fool...
