The triumphant faces of two intrepid ladies who relentlessly pursued an issue, for about 2 hours, in 😊📗(against the huge wall that was AI customer 'support') until it was resolved!

If you've been there you'll know 🤯

Not content with that (pun intended), we also...

😅Got an email campaign underway
😅Evaluated no less than 26 draft social media posts

We're smiling because we'd finished!

What a team, Fleur Dunbar 😅

That's what retainer support from me sometimes looks like.

Other times it looks like:

✒️Brand development
✒️Blog production
✒️Website re-writes
✒️Business development
✒️Organising collaborations

It usually doesn't look like taking on tech giants, but hey - if it gets the job done... !

I've just 2 retainer spaces left. To explore what that could look like for you, drop me a line and lets see what's possible.

I want to speak to you a minute about imposter syndrome.

It's not a thing.

Well, it is a thing - but it's not what you think.

If you've ever brought new baby home from hospital (astounded that they let you leave when you clearly have no clue what you are doing), you'll know that feeling.

But I bet you didn't turn to your partner and say, "I have imposter syndrome about being a parent".

There wasn't time! 😂

We use the term 'Imposter Syndrome' to get us off the hook sometimes. We are basically saying, 'who are we to do this thing'.

But actually, starting a business is like having your first baby...

😶‍🌫️ It's a steep learning curve

😶‍🌫️ Everything is unfamiliar

😶‍🌫️ It's exciting and terrifying in equal measure...

And it may well bankrupt you! 😂

That discomfort you are feeling isn't a syndrome - it's a natural response to doing something new and unfamiliar.

Remember your day zero vision, the excitement and optimism you felt - and put a post-it note or something, somewhere prominent where you can see and be reminded that YOU GOT THIS!

Rooting for you from over here... 💪🏼

Ok, I am going to call some of you out here.

With love...

If you are a solopreneur, one man band or whatever - why are you posting "we" instead of "I" or (possibly worse) talking about yourself in the third person???

I get it, it feels safer, more professional or whatever to present yourself as a collective and not a person.

But you're doing yourself a huge disservice.

Firstly, people buy from people - your audience would actually feel safer putting a face to the transaction;

Secondly, positioning yourself as something you're not puts you in a position of discomfort and performance (the assumption that you are not enough exactly as you are);

Thirdly, it kind of breeds mistrust, there's something 'off' about the post, kind of distant and insincere - never a good look.

If you’re a solopreneur, or even a business founder with a team, your greatest asset isn’t a glossy, corporate 'front'.

It’s you!

That bear was a little bit in love with me I think...

Yesterday the lovely Kate Watson asked me to speak at her Northumberland Networking event.

Now I don't generally relish being at the front of the room - heckling from the crowd is much more my style! 😂

But I had to do it for a few reasons:

♥️ I talk all the time about it being ok for founder to be exactly who they are, and how a bit of vulnerability is ok.

If I can't live that ethos by showing up, imperfect and a bit nervous, then who am I to tell anyone else to push through their discomfort?!

♥️ I'm obsessed with human connection. How much we need it, and how important it is to hang onto each other in the tsunami of tech and AI communication.

What better way to connect than to be in a room full of people, IRL, actually face to face!?

♥️ I also support clients to push through the discomfort of being themselves online, until it feels natural and they can stand in the confidence of who they are and what their mission is.

It did me good to get out of my comfort zone. At some point, no doubt, it will like ease and flow (hopefully!)

Mostly though, I passionately believe in my mission - and I want to help and impact as many people as possible. So that drives me like no income goal ever could.

When your belief in what you offer is rock solid, its amazing what you will do!

Thank you so much to everyone who went for being so attentive and supportive, it was really lovely to spend the morning with you. ✨

B2B found a radio star... 🎙️✨

I listen to the radio every day, don't even think about it.

But actually, it's probably one of the last remaining 'old skool' ways of connecting people.

📻 The companionship on tap, whenever you need it
📻 The thrill of hearing your request played
📻 How a good DJ can make you feel like part of a conversation, even though, objectively, the communication is one sided (that's quite a skill, right?!)

When my pal Dawns Deli joined my Network B2B group in Jesmond representing Radio Tyneside, I knew he'd fit right in.

What I didn't expect was that his first 10 minutes would be so personal, so vulnerable and have us all gripped.

Safe to say, I think it made quite an impression!

Great morning with my business buddies and solid proof that when you're in this meeting, you're amongst friends, can be exactly who you are - and it's ok.

Yesterday I left the house at 6.45am

Walked back in at 4.15pm.

I don’t work hard though…

👊🏻 I network hard

👊🏻 I think hard (about what to do next, what my clients need, how can I have maximum impact)

👊🏻 And I execute hard

If that’s work, then ok - but I love every bit of what I do so it totally doesn’t feel like it.

What do they say? “Love what you do & you’ll never work a day in your life”.

That’s me right now 🥰

Settling into my office for the day… 😁

Partly because I have a meeting here

Partly because my house is under construction

But mostly because I feel energised being around people (& procrastinate less when there is no washing machine/daughter nearby!)

Where do you go when you REALLY need to get stuff done?!

And - does your business take Absolute Priority, or do you have to consciously carve time out (& possibly leave the building) to stop it being neglected?

Asking for a friend… 🤪🫣🤣
