Ok, I'm going to get a bit deep here (strap in) 👀

Since I made the public commitment to adding coaching to my offer, I can't stop thinking about it, planning it, and feeling a level of excitement I usually reserve for Christmas.

What is this strange enthusiasm for...work?!

It's purpose.

And I wholeheartedly believe we all have one 💖

After working with many, many clients, what stands out every time is when we get to talking about their 'why'. The energy shifts and you can feel the positivity and purpose radiating from them.

The exact same energy that turns strangers into clients.

It doesn't have to be Nobel Prize stuff, it can be a simple, dedicated commitment to making some corner of life a little easier for someone.

If you're a founder who knows you're good at what you do but dreads 'putting yourself out there', stay tuned.

Because when you make yourself visible to the people who need you?

You change their world. 🌎

Notice anything different?!

Just like many of the amazing founders I work with, I had a nagging voice that I couldn't seem to quiet.

Even though upgrading my services and increasing my offer feels slightly terrifying (not to mention the things I've promised myself I would do to increase my impact) 🫣 ✨ 💕

So after much thinking, procrastinating(!) and, finally, beavering away behind the scenes...

I'm circling back to my psychology roots and expanding my services to provide coaching.

Not any coaching. A very specific kind.

The intervention that I know would change the lives of many clients I've worked with, and a load of other client led founders who struggle with their personal brand and visibility.

I want to speak to you a minute about imposter syndrome.

It's not a thing.

Well, it is a thing - but it's not what you think.

If you've ever brought new baby home from hospital (astounded that they let you leave when you clearly have no clue what you are doing), you'll know that feeling.

But I bet you didn't turn to your partner and say, "I have imposter syndrome about being a parent".

There wasn't time! 😂

We use the term 'Imposter Syndrome' to get us off the hook sometimes. We are basically saying, 'who are we to do this thing'.

But actually, starting a business is like having your first baby...

😶‍🌫️ It's a steep learning curve

😶‍🌫️ Everything is unfamiliar

😶‍🌫️ It's exciting and terrifying in equal measure...

And it may well bankrupt you! 😂

That discomfort you are feeling isn't a syndrome - it's a natural response to doing something new and unfamiliar.

Remember your day zero vision, the excitement and optimism you felt - and put a post-it note or something, somewhere prominent where you can see and be reminded that YOU GOT THIS!

Ok, I am going to call some of you out here.

With love...

If you are a solopreneur, one man band or whatever - why are you posting "we" instead of "I" or (possibly worse) talking about yourself in the third person???

I get it, it feels safer, more professional or whatever to present yourself as a collective and not a person.

But you're doing yourself a huge disservice.

Firstly, people buy from people - your audience would actually feel safer putting a face to the transaction;

Secondly, positioning yourself as something you're not puts you in a position of discomfort and performance (the assumption that you are not enough exactly as you are);

Thirdly, it kind of breeds mistrust, there's something 'off' about the post, kind of distant and insincere - never a good look.

If you’re a solopreneur, or even a business founder with a team, your greatest asset isn’t a glossy, corporate 'front'.

It’s you!

✨your voice
✨your lived experience
✨your quirks
✨your story

You have more to offer as your own self than you even realise.
