Do you know why we have a deer as our logo?
When Sprint Sports first began (before I was even born!) and when Bev was a keen athlete, attending athletic events, but always forgetting some of her kit, her Dad (my Grandad, and founder of our family business) would end up buying spares. He was then known as someone you could get your sports kit from and after some time, it was decided to turn it into a business. The family name of Roebuck was used for the logo (Roe Deer) and the name was linked to what we supplied at the time.
Over the years, the business has grown, and with Bev's involvement in Scouts and Guides, we soon built up a great relationship with Scouts and Guide leaders all over the UK. We're forever grateful that our customers are so happy with their orders from us, that they shout out from the rooftops and recommend us to all of their friends.
Whilst we'd always supplied corporate customers, Schools, Scouts and Guides and Sports Teams made up the majority of our customers and when Covid came in 2020, that put a stop to almost all orders from those customers, and whilst they all kept in touch as they paused, un-paused and re-paused their orders as the restrictions were lifted, brought back in and lifted again, we were then worried what the future would look like for us.
Thankfully our corporate customers seemed busier than ever during these times and although there were some months where we worried, we're very proud to now have a fantastic balance and huge variety of customers including Primary and Secondary schools, Scouts and Guides, Football, Rugby, Netball, Martial Arts, Beekeepers, Operatic Groups, Walking Groups, Running Clubs, and many many more!
