Over the summer, we’ve been working hard on an exciting new chapter for our business. Earlier this year, we made the decision to give our digital team its own dedicated space and identity. They now operate as Absolute Nexa – a specialist agency focused on web development and UX/UI design.

Over the past few months, we’ve defined their value proposition, created a new brand, and launched a new website. This marks the beginning of Nexa’s dedicated digital journey, and we’re excited to see the business grow and flourish.

How do you bring Christmas cheer to one of the top Premier League football clubs? By turning the Etihad Stadium into a snowball battleground, of course!

Taking a look back into the archives, one of our memorable campaigns was the Santa v Elf showdown for Manchester City. Featuring legendary players Kevin De Bruyne (Team Santa) and Vincent Kompany (Team Elf), with Pep Guardiola stepping in as referee — we created a festive clash that captured the spirit of the season.

From designing snowball-fight storyboards to creating a winter wonderland at City’s training ground, our team captured the magic through photography, video, and frosted typography. The campaign spread far and wide, appearing across online platforms, in-store displays, outdoor media, and even national press—giving City fans everywhere the chance to choose a side.

It’s campaigns like Santa v Elf that remind us why we love what we do—turning big ideas into unforgettable moments that connect with audiences.

As we celebrate 25 years of Absolute, we’re proud to reflect on projects like this one that have helped shape our journey.

Celebrating 90 Years!

Keeping with the ’90’ theme of the campaign, a special edition magazine titled ‘NINETIETH’, which had 9 letters for each of the 9 decades the Edge Hill University Ormskirk campus has been inspiring minds and changing futures, was created.

The NINETIETH magazine included every aspect of the year-long celebration and was mailed out to everyone associated with the University.

A Cracking Campaign Collaboration.

What better way to launch the new Carrs Pasties ‘More Cheese, Ham & Chilli Jam Pasty’, than with the iconic cheese-loving duo - Wallace & Gromit.

To mark the 30th Anniversary of Wallace and Gromit The Wrong Trousers, Carrs Pasties teamed up with Aardman to launch this new original pasty, which needed some original thinking to go with it and a whole new adventure in cheese!

Celebrating 90 Years!

Edge Hill University has been inspiring minds and changing futures at their Ormskirk campus since 1933. To celebrate this key milestone, we created this campaign.

We chose to communicate all the great achievements of the university and everyone associated with the campus through a series of colourful 90s. These illustrated the number of key topics covered in the campaign, from celebrating famous Alumni to appreciating the amazing biodiversity on campus.

Our entry for the 2023 publication is here! How time flies!

The creative theme for this year was ‘Love’ and our day allocated was December 1st. We put our thinking caps on which resulted in a tongue in cheek design centering around Hugh Hefner and his magazine Pl***oy:

An empire built upon love. On this day in history, pulses were set racing with the first issue of Hugh’s risqué magazine. Pl***oy – celebrating self-happiness since 1953.
