Trying now to get people to transfer thier precious videos on to a digital format.
Your old VHS videos and other formats like video 8...and High 8..
These will all rot and become unplayable.
You will lose these precious memories if you don't take action and get those videos archived and made safe on a digital format.
We can transfer to DVD..or to MP4 onto a memory stick..or onto a hard drive.
Which ever way...we can do it.
Get it done...before they deteriorate and are no longer able to be copied for you.
We have had many people whom have brought in videos that are unfortunately not in a condition that can be copied.

Did you know...
.. Your old VHS and camcorder tapes will slowly rot and they can become unplayable?

We have had tapes come to us that are tattered, torn, dusty and even mouldy!

Sometimes we have been successful in restoring and converting them to a modern format, but sometimes the damage is too much and the content is lost forever.

Please store your tapes safely and get them to us as soon as you can so that we can transfer them to a digital format.

If you don't do this, you may lose them forever.

But losing your wedding video, your child's christening, their school play, a family celebration, or your child's first steps to the old age of a video tape is preventable and we can help!

Remove the little tab from your important home video tapes!

We had a sad story from a few years ago. A man came to the studio/shop around Valentines Day, and he wanted us to convert his wedding video made years prior to digital.
It was an old VHS tape.
He was planning a lovely meal at a restaurant, then to go back home for a few cocktails and re-watch their wedding day, which they couldn't do before before because they had long since got rid of their old video player.
He asked me to see if it still played OK, but as we popped the tape in the machine and hit the 'play' button, it was no longer their wedding, but instead was an old Manchester United football match. He had recorded over his own wedding!

His heart sank.

Unfortunately, as good as we are, we can not "un-record" something.

Always, always, always remove the little tab on the front of the VHS or VHS-C tape so this means it can't be recorded over. If it's a MiniDV tape, slide the little tab to reveal a hole, but if it's a Video8, Hi8 or Digital8 tape, slide the tab over to cover the hole!

This is the lesson for today.

Lots of people are bringing in their old wedding videos, christening videos, birthday parties and holidays from the past for us to convert to digital, either on DVDs or as MP4 files on a USB stick.
Most modern smart TVs have a USB port so you can relive your precious memories in an easy and conveniant way.

We also do photograph restoration. If you photos are scarred, cracked or just in generally bad shape, we can fix it them!

We can also transfer slides and old cine films to digital too, and all these things can be added to the same USB stick!
