We’ve put together a few tips on keeping your marketing output moving in the right direction during the coronavirus outbreak. We know that the initial reaction for the majority of businesses is going to be panic, but having a clear plan of action for the coming months is so, so important.
We are still in the office, we are still working, we can seamlessly switch to working from home should we need to. We’re here to support our clients and help them through these unprecedented times. You can contact us using the usual channels but we’re equally happy to use Skype or Facetime if wanted to talk face to face.
If any of the below is of interest then do get in touch and we’ll be happy to help in any way we can. We already know from speaking to a few of our clients that they’re planning on completing a few of those projects that never seem to get done - which is a great use of the time.
1. Adapt Your Marketing
You should be looking at how you can adapt your marketing rather than stopping it altogether. As more people work from home and travel less, digital and social media marketing is going to be the primary way to stay in contact with your clients.
2. Use The Opportunity To Plan
Being ready to implement a marketing plan as soon as normal service is resumed is going to be hugely important in making up for any lost time.
3. Focus On Your Website
Your website is probably the focal point of your marketing but is often left unchanged for long periods of time. Take the time to conduct client comparisons and get a greater understanding of your site analytics, then update the website accordingly. Not only is your website going to be your main shop window for the next few months, but it should also be as good as it can be for when everything returns to normal. This is the perfect time to look at your SEO and get ahead of the competition too.
4. Focus On Your Brand
So many of our rebranding projects, or brand refinement projects, come about because our client's brands have been neglected, lack direction or never had any brand guidelines, to begin with. If you’re making a post-coronavirus marketing plan, make sure your branding is clear and ready to go.
5. Stay In Touch
Maintaining contact with your clients is hugely important, but it’s going to be even more so over the coming weeks. Keeping your clients informed of how your business is responding to the pandemic, revised opening hours or contact details and staying in your client's consciousness is paramount.
Stay safe.
