🚂 Good news for steam railway fans... steam is back at the Nene Valley Railway

After a challenging summer of dry conditions and fire risk restrictions, steam-hauled services are returning to the line this weekend, with Danish tank engine No. 656 'Doc' leading passenger services on 5th and 6th September.

The railway has continued running services throughout the restrictions, but there's no doubt many visitors will be pleased to see steam locomotives back where they belong. The return also marks the start of a busy autumn season at the railway, with plenty of events still to come.

Wishing everyone at the Nene Valley Railway a successful return to steam and a great end to the season. 🚂
