We are inviting the people who live work, visit or avoid these places, to help inspire, plan and design new town centres that can thrive socially and economically. BCP Future Lab is a new project that will rethink the future of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole town Centres. The project is an initiative of the R³ Group, that comprises representatives from the retail, leisure, and hospitality sec

tor. The project will take a long term view of how to rethink town centres for the post-pandemic world. The project will focus on town centre renewal by inviting you, the people who live work, visit or indeed avoid these places, to help inspire, plan and design new town centres that can thrive both socially and economically. We want to design places for social prosperity — places of encounter and experience that will inspire curiosity and strengthen community which will, in turn encourage new and existing forms of business. BCP Future Lab is a collaborative design project to re-imagine Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole town centres.

'Future Stories: Tales From BCP Future Lab’ is a book and exhibition of bold ideas and visionary changes to re-imagine the town centres of Bournemouth, Christchurch post -pandemic. Join the BCP Future Lab project team on March 17th, 2022, for the conclusion of an 8 month research project, that has resulted in an exciting set of ideas.

Come along to see the Future Lab exhibition, meet the authors, listen to presentations from the future lab project team and network. You can also get your hands on an exclusive free copy of the BCP Future Lab book.

Find us on the First Floor, of Bobby’s Department Store, Bournemouth Ice Cream Parlour entrance for an event where you can hear from the authors, network.

R3 – A group of local leisure and hospitality organisations who are collaborating to create a brighter future for the conurbation.

Feria Urbanism - a local urban design consultancy who will develop and design a strategy to reimagine the three towns.

Hello! We’ve been a bit quiet on here lately, but we’ve been working hard behind the scenes and are planning a dynamic event for March 2022. Before we share the details of what’s to come, we thought we’d do a little recap of what we’re about and what we’ve achieved so far…
- BCP Future Lab is a collaborative design project to re-imagine Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole town centres.
- We kicked off the project in June 2021 and have already had over 500 conversations across the local community.
- We’ve held workshops, chatted to people in the street and observed how our public spaces are currently used (or unused!)
- Hearing about your views, ideas and experiences so far have shaped our key design principles which will inform how we translate our concepts into real and practical solutions.
