It’s tough for little people when it’s sooooo hot ! Tiring, slow, over whelming, over stimulating, exhausting sometimes ! 👟 👣 Sometimes knowing which feet our shoes go on is a little bit tricky ! So now we have a shoe checker !
If when you put your shoes down you see and arched rainbow 🌈 then that is right ✅, if however you see a butterfly 🦋 then they are backwards ! A helpful little tool to make sure we get our shoes on the correct feet 👣 👞

🐝 Did you know it’s national *Bee* day today ?? 🐝 we have been celebrating this week with all things bee! Talking about what bees look like, what sound they make, what we think they might feel like, where they live, and the fact they make us honey and honeycomb !🌺🌻Nature is a wonderful thing and need to look after it to help with our plants flowers and eco system ☀️ Happy bees = Happy life ! 🐝

As of September 2026 new sleep regulations for the EYFS come into play following guidance given by the Lullaby Trust. This is to ensure all babies and children are checked on more frequently, provide a cot or sleep mat (age dependant) with no pillow or toys, and a breathable blanket tucked in under their armpits. I would like to implement these regulations as soon as possible, so that the best possible care will be provided for your child by myself. Please find attached a poster with full details of the new guidelines for your information. Can I ask all parents to please provide a “cellular” style blanket instead of fleece style ones as these help to regulate and control body temperature. I feel it’s all pretty self explanatory however if you have any questions then please do not hesitate to ask and I’ll do my best to answer them. Many thanks ☺️ x

🦷 👄 ORAL HEALTH 👄 🦷 🪥
Has become an essential part of the EYFS, so to help the cherubs learn about their mouths, teeth, dentist and much more we had an activity based around it. We used a mirror to look at our teeth and count how many we had. I asked if they new who helped us look after our teeth, the dentist 🪥 so we had a talk about what the dentist will do when we visit him, how he will check our teeth are healthy, how he may put aparatus inside our mouth and that make sure we’re looking after them. We talked also about how many times we need to brush them and how long for. Each cherub took home a goody bag with a new toothbrush and toothpaste, a 2 minute timer to help them see how long they need to brush them for, and a reward chart to keep them motivated!! We used toy teeth to practice cleaning, along with laminated mouths to go “up and down and round and round until they’re clean and sparkling !” We also learnt what foods might be good or bad for our teeth and health, an important part of children’s lives! Keep up the good work my little cherubs ! 🦷 👄

We had a lovely morning at the library 📚 changing our reading books, reading new ones, colouring and playing. We then went to the park 🛝 to enjoy the sunshine ☀️ and burn some energy climbing sliding and swinging!!! Great fun and so nice to do it with our coats off for a change !!! 🤩

🌱 Spring outings: farm visits and tick awareness 🌱 ☀️
As the weather improves and children spend more time outdoors, we are reminded to take extra care during farm visits and nature‑based activities. 🐄 🐴 🐖 🐑

Spring is the peak season for farm‑related infections, with young children particularly vulnerable. Thorough handwashing with soap and water after animal contact is essential - hand gels are not a substitute. 💦
Tick activity also increases from spring onwards, especially in grassy and wooded areas. Please carry out tick checks after outdoor play to keep your cherubs safe. 🪰 ☀️
